**1ST IN ADRIENETTE 2020 MIRACLE AWARDS**
Lila's a lying little brat, but what if her manipulative tactics backfire on her when trying to get closer to Adrien? Gabriel Agreste, finding truth in the sly girl's words, believes maybe Adrien really is b...
Marinette's eyes burned as the sun burst through the window, alerting her of a new day. She ignored it as she wanted to rest with Adrien a bit longer. Digging her face into his chest, Marinette realized Adrien didn't have his usual body heat, which she sat up only to realize that she'd been cuddling a pillow. Marinette groaned and chucked the pillow off the bed.
Marinette knew Adrien most likely left soon after they'd fallen asleep. Gabriel or Nathalie must have sent him to his room. But is this how it feels to fall asleep with someone and wake up without them? It really did feel like withdrawal.
"Adrien..."
The pigtailed girl whined wearily and tossed the covers aside, throwing herself out of bed. She rubbed her eyes and carried her tired body to Adrien's bedroom. She knocked first, knowing better than before.
"Mon chéri? Are you awake?" she mumbled, leaning against the door. "Can I come in?"
It was a moment before Adrien answered as he was sliding on his jeans. "Sure."
Marinette opened the door, sleepily walking inside, not minding a half-undressed Adrien as she flopped onto his bed. Adrien smiled at his tired friend as he remembered to put a shirt on before laying in bed with her. He stroked her cheek with his knuckles, gaining a giggle and one eye open to look at him.

"Not that I mind, of course, but why'd you come in here if you were still so tired?" Adrien inquired, holding her chin. "I mean, it's only seven o'clock."
"Because," Marinette whined, "I woke up hugging a pillow instead of you and I was sad."
Adrien blushed slightly, smiling helplessly at Marinette. She's really cute when she's sleepy. "Yeah, that happened to me too. First night you were over. The next day, I woke up with a pillow instead of you. It's a bit saddening to wake up without you."
Marinette nodded, snuggling herself into Adrien's chest before whimpering and jolting away, curling herself into a ball. "Why are you so cold? And wet?"
Adrien laughed. "Because I just took a shower."
Marinette opened her eyes to notice his sopping wet hair. She sat up, shaking her head. "You dummy! Do you not know how to dry yourself? Where's your towel?"
Adrien sat up as well, pointing to the towel at the end of the bed. "There."
"Come here." Marinette grabbed the towel, stood on her knees, and began to dry his hair. "You literally got me and the entire bed wet."
Adrien held his chin and his eyebrows danced. "Then I'm doing something right with you, pretty princess."
Marinette blushed before shoving the towel in his face, not even acknowledging the nickname she'd just been called. "Oh, shut up, you perv."
Adrien laughed, trying to push the towel out of his face. "Mari, you are going to suffocate me!"
