S2 E21: The Moment We Fell in Love

Author's Note: I never thought I would have to say this, but Chloé says the R-word in this chapter. And I've said this before that I will not change anything in my story because it upsets a reader. Adding this word in a story said by a character who is known to be kind of an asshole and who was put in a very stressful and dangerous position in this chapter does not make me, the author and a separate person with a different personality, viewpoint, and vocabulary than her, a bad or ignorant person. If you don't like my story after 56 chapters of loving it because of a word that a character said out of anger, that's your business. That being said, you are still free to argue with Chloé about it in the comment section as long as you are not directing your anger towards me. Thank you and enjoy the story.

The six heroes arrived at Place des Vosges where Hawk Moth And Mayura were battling against the flying wraith, impossibly trying to catch her. She then met the ground, unsettlingly maneuvering herself on all fours before lunging at them at full speed, not for the purpose of attacking, but to put them off guard and unbalanced. Then, she could cast her spells and gain their souls. However, neither side seemed to be having much luck as Hawk Moth and Mayura appeared to be unaffected, tired more than anything, and the wraith was still uncontrolled. Although, Black Blood must have had some success because there were many bodies scattered around the area, some bloodier than others.

"Oh, my Gosh!" Queen Bee exclaimed. "Are they dead?"

The wraith, as well as Hawk Moth and Mayura, looked towards the new arrivals.

Ryuko rolled her eyes. "Well, there goes the element of surprise."

"There you are, kid! Thank God, you're back!" said Mayura. "And you brought help!"

"No, they're not dead," Hawk Moth explained, grabbing Marinette before she once again turned to smoke and floated away. "We've been knocking them out to prevent them from feeling pain and giving consent to die."

"Have you figured out how to save her?" Mayura asked, blowing and swatting away Black Blood's smoke as if she was annoyed with it.

"Yes," Mister Bug nodded, "an act of true love."

"So, I'm guessing you're going to try to kiss her?" Hawk Moth spoke with uncertainty, knowing Marinette's true love is Adrien. "I know you love her, Mister Bug, but what if she doesn't love you? I know this girl well. I know who she's in love with. As much I'd hate to get him involved in this, Adrien Agreste has to kiss her if you want it to work."

"Huh," whispered Carapace. "I guess they really are loved ones if they know that."

Rena Rouge rolled her eyes. "Everyone knows Marinette's in love with Adrien."

Mister Bug ignored his friends' side conversation as his eyes narrowed dangerously. "I am Adrien Agreste."

Hawk Moth lost his breath. "W-What?"

Mayura's eyes filled with tears, covering her mouth with her hand. "N-No..."

Black Blood saw the perfect opportunity to reform herself and draw new symbols.

With a whispered, "Xuànyūn," she aimed the symbols at Mayura.

"No!" Mister Bug shouted. "Mayura! Watch out!"

However, Mayura could not dodge the blast in time and was struck to the ground.

Queen Bee impulsively went after the wraith as it trailed out into the street. "I'm not letting Black Blood get away!"
