Cassidy woke up Saturday morning alone in her bed. She was immediately confused, knowing Austin really was here last night.
Cassidy lay in bed for a moment just to think about everything. The first thing that came mind was that the plan to surprise Austin in a few weeks should work our perfectly. Then she realized how much she really liked him. It was so bazaar to her, that she was.. technically.. dating post Malone. Someone who she barely knew existed all of a month ago. She'd found herself listening to his music in her room and in the car when she had some time and she liked it more than she thought she would. She chalked it up to the fact that it was him.. because she normally wouldn't like that kind of music on her own.
She was broken from her thoughts when she heard a noise come from the kitchen below. She grabbed the sweats that Austin lent hear the last time he was here and made her way downstairs.
She found Austin in the kitchen making breakfast. Kelsey sat at the table with her coffee in one hand, and phone in the other.
"Well good morning sleepy head." Austin spoke up.
"Hi." She looked around the kitchen, shocked that he'd done this. "You did not have to do this babe."
"Babe huh? You're telling me I've been missing out on pet names because I haven't made you breakfast yet?" He teased as he bent down to give her a quick kiss.
"It's probably a combination of flying across the country to see me for the weekend AND the eggs. But. You can tell yourself that." She poured herself a cup of coffee and sat across from Kelsey at the table.
"Where's Eric?"
"In the shower. He should be down soon." She smiled as she locked her phone.
"So. What's going on there?" It was Cassidy's turn to tease and she was so excited.
"I don't know. I really like him. I don't think we're on the same level as you and Posty. But I really like him." She took another sip of her coffee as he rounded the corner. Eric walked in the room and kissed the top of her head.
"Not on the same level my ass." Cassidy teased. Austin let everyone know that breakfast was ready and stepped to the side.
"I'm gonna go smoke." He looked down at Cassidy.
"Here let's go out back so you're not spotted. I'll come with you." She grabbed his hand and lead him through the house.
Austin lit his cigarette and pulled Cassidy into his lap. They sat in a comfortable silence as he smoked. "What do you want to do today?" She spoke up.
"I honestly don't care Cass. I came here for you." He pressed a kiss onto her shoulder. Cassidy felt her phone vibrate from the pocket of her sweats. And fished it out.
"Oh by the way you're not getting these back. Or the shirt. Though I need you to wear the shirt so it smells like you." She didn't even make eye contact with him. Which made him laugh.
She began to chuckle as she showed Austin her phone. It was a text message from her younger brother.
BrandonSucks:
Did Post Malone just post you in his Instagram?!!!BrandonSucks:
Cassidy fucking answer me. This is a big deal I need to know. She decided now was as good of a time as ever to call her bother. They didn't speak all that often now that she didn't live at home, but they were still really close.
Dude are you not telling me something?
Like what Bran?
She tried to keep a straight face.
