Cassidy woke up before Austin the following morning. She knew he was exhausted and so happy to be in his own bed. She slipped out and decided to take a shower.

She looked around for the towels before finding them in the closet in the bathroom. She didn't really get a tour last night, with both of them being drunk and having missed one another so much, she was lucky they even made it to his bedroom.

She fell in love with his shower instantly though. It was perfect. Just as she was finishing up, she felt a rush of cold air and saw Austin standing behind her.

"Fucking hell you fuck!" She instinctively started to cover up, but knew how dumb it was. She had just been startled.

"You. Are so. Fucking. Beautiful." He spoke lowly between kisses down her neck and across her shoulder. "Is still can't believe you're here babe."

"I'm glad you like your surprise." She grinned as she locked her hands behind his head to pull him down into a kiss.

"But I'm freezing, so I'm gonna go get dressed." She pulled away quickly making Austin scoff playfully.

"Wooooow. What a fuckin tease!" He laughed. She blew him a kiss as she wrapped herself in the towel and walked back out to the bedroom. She got dressed quickly and decided she would let her hair dry naturally.

As she began to make her way down to the kitchen, she walked past a room that had countless guitars lined on the walls and a few that were sitting on stands on the floor. One guitar was propped up on the couch like it had been played recently.

She walked around the room slowly looking at the guitars individually. She found herself smiling as she took her time looking around. She finally made her way back to the couch, and sat down. She picked the black acoustic guitar up and ran her fingers over the strings.

She mindlessly began plucking the strings, and it wasn't long until she realized she was playing a very sloppy version of Free Falling by Tom Petty.

"Is there anything you can't do?" Austin spoke up from the door way. "I didn't know you could play.." he sat on the arm of the couch next to her.

"It's just literally never come up in conversation." She laughed awkwardly. "Plus I don't play like ever so I'm rusty as fuck."

"I'd love to hear you play. And I've heard you sing, you should be doing something with that babe .."

"Nooooo. Nope. I dont really sing .. I barely play the guitar." She gently placed it on the couch where it was previously.

"Hey, what's goin on?" Austin grabbed her hand.

"It's uh, nothing. I'm fine."

"I'm not an idiot Cass, I know damn well that when a female says "I'm fine" that they're not fine .. at all."

"I don't sound like that .. for one." She tried to hold back the smirk on her face. "And two.. well I've never told you about my dad."

Austin shook his head.. it suddenly became very clear that she hadn't really talked about her dad. He met her mom.. but not her dad.

"My dad died when I was 19. He had a really sudden heart attack while he was sleeping. He woke up, but didn't make it to the hospital in the ambulance."

"Cass, you don't have to-" Austin moved from the arm of the couch to sit next to her. He laced his fingers with hers.

"No it's fine. I uh, I don't talk about him enough." Austin nodded, wanting her to continue.

"Uhm well it's been kinda hard. Brandon was 12, and he took it really hard. They were best friends man. They did everything together. He taught me how to play guitar though. We always bonded over music. He's the reason I was buying that CCR album that day."

"I'm sorry baby."

"Don't be. It's life right? Sometimes the good ones are taken too soon. Sometimes life is really unfair. But, we learn from it."

"This makes me realize there is so much I must not know about you." Austin spoke up.

"You're probably right. It's just a matter of unlocking all the hidden things." She smiled at Austin. "Tom Petty was his favorite musician, so he holds a special place in my heart as well."

"Well theres nothing wrong there. I love me some Tom Petty." Austin smiled.

"I'm sorry that there's still a lot you don't know about me.."

"Well, that's what makes this fun Cass. We get to learn along the way." He kissed the side of her head, and lead her down to the kitchen.

Eric was just walking through the door with Kelsey as they stood in the kitchen making their coffee.

"Hey man. Hi Cass. I got some news" Eric sat on one of the barstools on the other side of the counter.

"You guys were spotted last night." Eric pulled some papers from his book bag. "And they already found Cassidys social media accounts."

"Fuck." Austin ran his hand down his face. "I knew it was going to happen..."

"So what now?" Cassidy spoke up.

"Well I would suggest making your account private if you don't want to be in the public eye. But there's a really good chance you've already gained a substantial amount of followers."

"So much for remaining the Mystery Girl." Kelsey spoke up. Cassidy rolled her eyes playfully.

"I know." Cassidy turned to Austin who looked extremely upset.

"Hey. We knew it was gonna happen eventually. It's okay.." Cassidy grabbed his arm.

"No Cass! It's not. I didnt want you to have to worry about this shit .. and it's my fault."

"Austin no it's not.. I'm the one that flew to LA.. I knew what I was getting into with hanging out with you. I knew in our first date.. it didn't bother me. It was just something I'd need to get used to."

"Cassidy it's not like that. It's so fucking hard for me because I wanted to keep you to myself. The media eats people alive. I've lost people to it more than once .." he sighed. "I knew this wouldn't end well.."

His comment really pissed Cassidy off. She knew deep down he was just upset and it probably came out wrong. But she wasn't happy.

"You knew it wouldn't end well huh?" Cassidy spoke up.

"Cassidy don't be stupid that's not what I meant."

"Wow. You're doing great with your words today Austin. Thanks, so much!" She put her coffee mug down and walked back upstairs to his bedroom.

"Fuck.." Austin sighed.

"Just give her some space A. She'll be okay. I promise." Kelsey spoke up. "She has a bad habit of blowing up and not really thinking before hand."

"Plus this is all new to her. I'm sure she's just overwhelmed. Ya' know?" Eric spoke up as well, trying to calm Austin now.

"I know, I know. I just feel bad.. she didn't want to be in the public eye.. I just feel like I failed.."

"Austin you know that's not true." Kelsey flashed him a reassuring smile. "Seriously, just give her some time. She'll realize she overreacted and then you can talk her through how to deal with.. all of this.." she waved her hand in front of her.

"Yeah, okay. I'll be upstairs .. " Austin walked away, taking the time to go meddle with a guitar or something. He walked past his bedroom to see Cassidy laying in the bed looking at her phone, but as badly as he wanted to, he didn't stop.
