Cassidy stood with Eric at the baggage claim holding a sign that read "Welcome home Inmate #57892". The sign was actually Austin's idea, and he made Cassidy and Eric promise that they would tell Kelsey it was his idea.

Kelsey turned the corner and smiled instantly as she saw her best friend and boyfriend waiting for her. She then stopped dead in her tracks to about keel over in laugher from the sign.

"I had to promise Austin that we would tell you this was his idea.." Cassidy playfully rolled her eyes. As Kelsey pulled her in for a hug.

"Dude I'm so fucking excited to be here!!" Kelsey almost squealed as she jumped into Eric's arms.

"Neither can she. I swear. She's worse than me.." Eric laughed pointing at Cassidy. "She literally would not stop asking when you were coming in."

"Dass my girrrrl." Kelsey laughed.

"Okay let's go wait for your bags and get back. The movers are here and I want to make sure everything goes smoothly." Cassidy spoke up.

After gathering Kelsey's bags, Eric made his way back to Austin's house to drop off Cassidy. She told Kelsey to call her once she was settled in and rested and all. Upon walking into the house, she saw boxes of her and Brandon's things all over the house.

"Hey baby, did they just drop you off?" Austin spoke from the kitchen.

"Yeah, she was exhausted, and wanted to get settled in. Speaking of, where is Brandon? Is he unpacking?"

"Yeah he is in his room." Cassidy nodded. "You ready to tackle your shit?" He gave Cassidy a smirk, knowing she most definitely was not.

"Did they drop my car off too?!"

"Yessss babe. Did you not see it in the driveway?" Austin laughed.

"No, I wasn't even paying attention. You already have so many out there, it's hard to tell."

"Ha fucking Ha Cass." He pulled her into his arms. "Are you sick of me yet?"

"I should be asking you that question!" She smiled up at him.

"Well, your stuff isn't all over the bathroom yet, so, give me a few days." Cassidy laughed and pretended to be offended by his statement.

Cassidy tapped on Brandon's door before entering. When she didn't get a response, she poked her head in, and found Brandon sitting on the floor by his bed, looking at something in his lap.

"Bran, what are you doing?" She walked over and squatted next to her brother. In his hands, she saw he was holding a picture of their parents. His eyes were red and puffy, like he had been crying. She could already see what was happening. It had finally hit her little brother that they were both gone, that he and Cassidy only had one another at this point. Sure they had aunts and uncles, but neither of them were close with any of them.

"Hey." Cassidy spoke as she sat on the floor next to her brother. When he didn't look up, she put her hand on his shoulder. "I love you Brandon. We're going to be okay." She could see the faintest nod of his head. She took that as her time to leave and stood up to give him some space.

"Thanks Cass." He spoke up. Just barely above a whisper.

Cassidy found her way into the finished basement where Austin moved all of his xbox and gaming equipment. Austin smiled as she walked down the stairs. She sat on the couch and he pulled her feet across his lap as he continued to play Call of Duty.

"We should take Brandon out." Cassidy spoke up after a minute of watching the screen.

"What do you mean?" Austin replied, but didn't take his eyes off the tv.

"I don't know. Just take him out to get his mind off of everything. Take him school shopping for his senior year.. show him a bit of LA. ya know?"

"I think." Austin put his controller down on the table next to his spot on the couch. "That's a fuckin great idea." He stretched before laying back slightly onto Cassidy. "Let me call Alex, and we can go when he gets here." Cassidy nodded, excited to spend some time with her brother and boyfriend.

"Well babe, I gotta get up to tell him ya know." Cassidy teased. Austin groaned dramatically and sat up so Cassidy could do just that. Brandon was very excited.

Cassidy let him pick numerous outfits along with shoes from various store in the mall Austin chose. Austin had tried to help paying, but Cassidy refused the whole time.

"I appreciate it baby. I do. Like, more than you know. But. I feel like this is something I have to do for my parents. I feel like I owe it to them to make sure he's taken care of my self." Cassidy looked at her fingers for a moment.

"Hey, don't say that. Your parents know you can take care of your brother okay? But I get it babe. I wont ask anymore okay? I get where you're coming from." Austin smiled and grabbed Cassidy's hand as they walked through the mall, following Brandon's lead.

Monday morning rolled around and Cassidy woke up extra early to make sure Brandon had everything he needed for his first day. She was going to drive him in this morning just to be sure everything was taken care of. She got out of bed at 6 to tip toe down the hall, and heard Brandon's alarm going off.

"What are you doing awake?" Austin spoke from the bed.

"Fucking hell Austin." Cassidy stopped and placed her hand on her heart as she stepped back into their room. "I thought you were asleep." She laughed.

"I was. Until someone's alarm went off." He smirked as he held his hand out for Cassidy to get back in bed. She only partially obliged by sitting next to him. He wrapped his arms around her to pull her closer.

"Babe I gotta make sure he's up and get him to school." She playfully whines. "After that, you got me all day.. until I finally find a job out here."

"Babe he's 17. He's-"

"He's 17. That's exactly why I have to make sure his ass is awake." She laughed. "I'll bring you coffee back okay?" Austin huffed playfully and rolled back over.

Cassidy got dressed and made her way downstairs to find Brandon already waiting while playing on his phone.

"Ready kid?"

"Ready as I'll ever be I guess."

As they parked in the guest parking lot, Cassidy paused for a moment. "Hey, I know you'll be making a lot of new friends, and these are a new breed of people, but try to leave out Austin when people ask about like where you live and all. You can say with your sisters boyfriend and stuff, just don't flat out say you live with Post Malone okay?"

Brandon nodded. "I get it. No prob Cass." With that, they walked in together so Brandon could get his schedule and head to class.

After she turned all the paperwork in, she couldn't help but feel uneasy about the conversation she'd had with Brandon. It never really crossed her mind before this morning, she was just hoping Brandon would be smart enough to not bring Austin up.
