Cassidy was laying on Austin's bed just trying to find the courage to go apologize to him for the way she acted. She knew she was being ridiculous, and she knew that he knew that as well.
She was extremely overwhelmed with everything going on. She had been scrolling on Facebook for a while still nervous to open up Instagram, but she knew it needed to be done.
She had gained just over a thousand new followers and had too many new likes to count. She was however, smart enough to ignore the comments. She scrolled through her notifications but didn't really read too much into them.
She locked her phone and stared off into the distance. She could hear Austin plucking a guitar and occasionally singing some different melody's. She finally had the courage to go see him. Like a Bandaid right?
"Hi." She spoke softly from the doorway.
"Hey baby. What's up?" He smiled at her. That made her feel better already.
"Uh nothing. I just wanted to um. To come say sorry for kinda freaking out." She walked over and stood next to the couch, before Austin pulled her into his lap.
"I'm sorry too babe. My words just didn't come out right."
"Don't apologize. I was overreacting... I just got really overwhelmed. I'm not as used to being Post Malone's girlfriend as I am being Austin's ya know?"
"I know babe. We'll figure it out. You'll figure it out. I'm sorry your overwhelmed.. just tell me how I can help.."
"It's just something I have to figure out on my own Aust.." he nodded as he rest his chin on her shoulder. "But ya know. I guess since it's already there you might as well say something right?"
"Let me message Dre and see what he thinks first. But it should be fine at this point .." he kissed her cheek as he grabbed his phone. He decided to give him a call, as it was faster.
In the end, Dre said because the pictures were out there already, there was no real point in hiding it any longer, it would just prolong everything. So Austin let Cassidy help pick out a photo to post on his Instagram.

"Thank you babe. I think it's perfect." Cassidy kisses Austin's cheek as they sat in bed and watch something on Netflix. Her phone began to ring just as she was getting comfortable. She groaned very dramatically just before accepting the call from her mother.
So your friend austin is post Malone huh?
Wow mom it's nice to speak to you too! Cassidy rolled her eyes.
So thatttt why you and Kelsey are taking a trip in LA huh? Sweetie I'm happy for you I just wish I knew before the internet told me.
I know mom I'm sorry. It just kinda happened. I met him the weekend of Preakness and .. here we are I suppose.
Well you look very happy. When will I get to meet him again?
He's in the middle of a world tour right now. Just taking a break for his birthday. Next time he's free I guess I'll see if we can all get together.
The conversation with her mother ended with her telling Cassidy to be safe and to send lots of pictures.
"What do you wanna do while you're here?" Austin spoke up.
"I don't know, I wanna be an annoying tourist, but I know that's hard for you." She chuckled.
"Oh whatever. That's what my security team is for babe! But I'll tell you what, why don't you and Kelsey go wander around for the day. I'll set up a car for you. I have a meeting that I'm dragging Eric to, with Dre, just to make sure everything is in line for the rest of the tour. Once I'm done, we can go out. Just you and me." Austin smiled. "Go do some shopping on me." He tried to hand Cassidy his bank card.
"Austin stop. I'm not taking that from you.." Cassidys eyes grew wide.
"Cass stop. I want to! Lemme spoil you since i can't be there."
"No! I'm not gonna take your bank card. I saved my money knowing I'm coming out here. Plus I was going to try and get you something for your birthday! You brat." She kissed his cheek as she stood up to start getting ready. "However. I'll accept the offer for a car because this traffic and fuck paying for an Uber over here." She grinned.
"Mhm that's what I thought." Austin stood up. All he did was throw on a pair of gym shorts before he could say he was ready for his meeting. Cassidy rolled her eyes and decided she wasn't going to do much with her makeup.
She met Austin downstairs, to wait for Kelsey. She was riding with Eric, who was picking up Austin for the meeting.
"Also, one of my security guys, Alex, will be going with you and you're not gonna fight me on this. Dre actually was the one that insisted on it now that we've gone public.." Cassidy could tell Austin was being serious, and it made her smile at his concern.
"Okay. Thank you babe. Have a blast at your meeting." She stood on her toes to give him a kiss just as Kelsey and Eric walked in the door.
"Biiiitch I'm so ready to go see LFuckingA!" Kelsey practically yelled into the living room, making Austin laugh and Cassidy roll her eyes.
The car Austin scheduled arrived, along with Alex with security. He was waiting outside as the girls left the house.
"Hello Cassidy, my name is Alex, I'm apart of Austin's security team. I'll be joining you guys today." Alex was tall and had a full left arm of tattoos.
"Hi. This is my best friend Kelsey, hope you're down for some shopping." She grinned as they got in the car.

Cassidy and Kelsey spend the day shopping and doing just about every touristy thing their time allowed. Cassidy was still trying to figure out what exactly she could get Austin that he didn't have already. She wasn't having much luck.
That was until her and Kelsey walked passed a guitar shop. Cassidy grabbed Kelsey's hand as they walked inside, Alex following close behind.
She looked around at all the different instruments and guitars that lined the walls. She suddenly knew what she would get for him.
She noticed a matte black Ibanez hanging on the wall and for whatever reason, it was really sticking out to her. She noticed a small sign on the counter next to her that stated they offered specialty engraving.
She suddenly was very very excited for Austin's birthday. Cassidy was very big on meaningful gifts and actually surprising people with them. She hated when someone knew what their gift was. That was pointless and no fun.
While this gift was going to be cheesy, she was very excited to give it to him in just a few days.
