"You lied." A voice said behind me.

I turned around and glared at him.

"Can't I just walk alone in the forest during a very questionable hour of the night?" I said annoyed, why did I feel like wherever I looked Ryder was there.

"You'll be able to continue with your quirky ways as soon as you tell me why you lied." Ryder told me.

I stared at him confused.

"What do you mean? I believe I've never lied to you or anyone here." I told him.

"What about Jayla when she came earlier?" Ryder said in an accusing tone.

I frowned at him.

"Who, who is that?" I asked pretending to be lost.

"My girlfriend came earlier looking for me; she said that you told her that I wasn't in the house even though you perfectly knew that I was in my bedroom." Ryder told me.

I scratched the back of my neck pretending to be very puzzled.

"Are you certain that it was me, I don't recall doing any of that? Maybe that girlfriend of yours mistook someone else as me." I lied to him.

"I don't think there is another British brunette with grey eyes that is staying in my house." Ryder pointed out.

I gave a sigh in defeat; there was no possible way out of this so I might as well just come clean.

"Alright, maybe it was me." I finally admitted.

"Why did you do it?" Ryder asked me.

I shrugged.

"I don't know; I probably forgot that you were in the house to begin with." I told him; that was believable, right?

"She also left you a message, why didn't you tell me that Jayla had come to look for me?" Ryder asked me.

"It must've slipped from my mind to tell you." I said calmly, the last thing Ryder needed to know was that he was making me nervous.

Ryder narrowed his gaze at me.

"Is that really your excuse?" He said as he stared at me yet I didn't move a bit.

"It's the truth now I must continue with my midnight walk before I start to get frostbite." I said and started to walk away.

"Vampires don't get frostbites." Ryder told me.

I looked at him and rolled my eyes.

"Well, thanks for ruining the suspension." I said sarcastically before I continue to walk away, this time faster than before.

"Do you think it also makes me happy to see you with him?" Ryder said as he went after me.

I stopped and turned around staring at me with a questioning look.

"What are you going on about?" I asked him confused.

"Your boyfriend, do you think it's fun watching you parade around my house with that douche bag you have as a boyfriend?" Ryder told me; I could hear the slight amount of anger his voice held.

I stared at him shocked.

"Are you, are you jealous?" I said still not believing it.

Ryder gave a scoff.

"I'm Ryder Silverstone, I don't get jealous." Ryder said, cockiness dripping off his voice like honey.

I laughed at this.
