"Are you sure you're okay?" Ryder asked as he looked at me worried.

I took a deep breath and nodded slowly.

"Yes, I was just startled but that's it." I said as I gave them a small smile trying to convince them that I was perfectly fine.

"You are an odd one Alice." Ellen said as she eyed me suspiciously.

"Haven't I always been odd?" I told her.

Ellen looked at me and nodded in agreement.

"You're right, you have never been normal." Elle said before she left.

"Let's go before the just graduated hunters take all the transports of the Academy and we're left with no other option than to walk." I said as Ryder wrapped his arm around me and started to walk.

"So then, where you two are headed tonight?" Charles said as he held the screen in his hands checking the vehicles that were available.

I gave a long-tired sigh and glared at him.

"Just give me the bloody keys Charles." I told him as Ryder chuckled in amusement next to me.

"You don't understand Alice, this is my responsibility for the month as well as seeing who enters and leaves the Academy." Charles told me.

I gave a small groan in frustration, what happened to the young lad that would always try to make me break the rules?

"I am very aware of that Charles; I was the one who suggested that this place was given to you temporarily." I told him.

"You did, how?" Charles asked me confused.

"Charles, I'm the current director of the Association." I told him blankly.

"Oh, that's right, you are mate congratulations." Charles said as he nodded.

I frowned at him; that was not what I expect him to say.

"Charles, give me the keys to the motorcycle before I decide to take them myself." I warned Charles.

He started at me confused.

"Why aren't you going to take your car?" Charles said as he looked at me.

I took a deep breath trying to control my anger.

"Charles, just weeks ago we were crashed, and my car no longer works so please give me the keys, give me those bloody keys before it's too late." I told him.

Charles looked at me with a smile; he just loved to piss me off.

"Of course, I was just playing with you." Charles said before he eventually handed over the keys and I walked away.

"Why is it that urgent that we leave now Doll?" Ryder asked as he placed his jacket on me since the night had gotten colder than it had been moments ago.

I gave a small smile as I placed on the helmet.

"You know something; I shortly realized that you and I haven't really had an official date." I said as Ryder zipped the jacket halfway up.

I handed him over his helmet and Ryder frowned at me slightly confused.

"Wait, what about that day, your birthday, we went out the entire day didn't we?" Ryder said as he met my gaze.

"That was only because you had to keep me distracted all day long, the other times we went out it was with your family so that doesn't count as well. What I'm trying to say is that you and I haven't gone out like a normal couple would." I said as I looked down avoiding his gaze, I already knew how silly I sounded.
