"How far is the Academy from here?" I asked as we walked side by side with the horses.

"Four to five days." Riley replied in a monotone.

"Can't we take a train or something?" Eleanor asked quietly.

"We will but first we have to help as much people as we can, they have attacked here as well, right?" I asked Andrew.

He nodded in response.

"Most of them were small towns or villages but we could try." Andrew told me.

It was nearly nightfall and as tired as I was, I couldn't stop walking, something odd was pulling me towards a certain place.

"Alice slow down, please slow down." Eleanor said from behind me.

I didn't listen to her on the contrary I quicken my pace and once I reached the top of the hill, I saw it; it was a small cabin but there were lights on so maybe there was someone who could aid us.

"We could stay here for the night." Riley said before she pulled out the dagger, she had viciously sharpened last night.

"Are you mad? We're not going to kill them!" I told Riley alarmed.

Riley looked at me and rolled her eyes in response.

"This is in case they are bad people, princess." Riley told me.

I narrowed my eyes at her.

"Just don't call me that ever again." I warned her.

"Um, Alice we have problems." Eleanor said suddenly.

I turned around and saw what she was looking at, far from us but even at this distance I could see and hear them howling.

"Werewolves, a bloody pack of werewolves it seems like we have entered their territory." I said as my blood ran cold, we were practically dead now.

"Get on the horses now!" Andrew yelled us.

We rode the horses for a long time until we actually got to a road and not far from the road there was a motel.

"This can also work for the night, but we need to lose the horses." Riley told us.

"Why?" Eleanor asked.

"We're four teenagers heading to a motel and we're traveling on horses that alone will draw far too much attention to us." Riley explained.

I gave a scoff.

"It's a low standard place; they won't even pay attention as long as we pay for the night." I told her.

"That's true." Andrew and Eleanor said at the same time.

"I wasn't talking about the people in the motel but our wolf friends that will follow the scent of the horses." Riley snapped at us.

I gave a sad sigh.

"Fine, we'll let them go." I said and got off the horse, I was staring to like them.

Once the horses were freed Andrew handed me a bag.

"Come on, we have to go check in." Andrew said as he leaded the way.

I wrinkled my nose as I stepped into the bedroom, it wasn't because most of the things were questionably clean or that there were only two beds but because there was dust in the air making me want to sneeze.

"I'll be right back." Andrew said as he set down one of the bags on the bed.

I turned around and looked at him.
