"I found my soul mate." Mason blurted as he got in bed with me first thing in the morning.
"What?" I said as I opened my eyes, my voice dripping of sleepiness.
"Alice, I found her." Mason said; he was very excited nearly sounding like a four-year-old on Christmas morning.
I opened my eyes and found Mason staring at me, his face a few centimeters away from mine.
"You did?" I asked in a sleepy voice before I closed my eyes and got closer to him.
Mason hummed in response as I snuggled into his chest and he wrapped his arm around me.
"Who is it?" I asked him as I kept my eyes close, it was far too early to get up.
"It's Ryder's sister." Mason said in a low voice.
I sat up quickly and glared at him.
"Kaley, is she your soul mate?" I asked him shocked as I raised an eyebrow at him, she didn't seem like his type, besides wasn't she like married or something?
Mason shook his head.
"No, Ryder has two younger siblings. His brother Kole and his sister Naomi, she's my soul mate. I feel like you two would really get along, she's soon to turn eighteen." Mason told me as he nodded as if he were in deep thought.
I started to stretch and to pull my hair up into a messy bun.
"Alright, when I get to meet her, I will try everything to like her." I told him, hopefully she was good for my brother, and hopefully we could get along.
"You won't have to try; you'll like her immediately." Mason told me with a grin.
I seriously needed to meet this girl that was making my twenty-one-year-old brother act all giggly like a schoolboy.
"You only say that because she's your soul mate." I told Mason as I rolled my eyes.
"So, you're saying that you also like Ryder because he's your soul mate?" Mason told me with a smirk.
I gave a scoff.
"You know what my exact thoughts are about Ryder." I told him dryly.
"Actually, I don't know anymore; after all you were together the other day." Mason pointed out and I knew he would soon start teasing me about it.
I dropped my hands to my lap and stared at them avoiding his gaze.
"That's because he was being nice for once and he invited me to go ice skating, besides you were the one who told me to give him a chance, remember?" I said in my defense.
"I believe Alice that after spending some time with Ryder on your birthday your opinion about him changed, things would've moved along for the two of you if it wasn't for Peter." Mason told me as he made a face and I shook my head, here we go again, it was the same old story with my brother and Peter.
I gave a groan and placed my hands on my face.
"Why don't you like Peter? What did he ever do to you?" I asked, he had always disliked Peter no matter what.
"Alice, he is far too arrogant, and he will never be good enough for you." Mason told me and I frowned, that really didn't seem a good reason, regardless of what he thought about him that was a different matter, because the Peter I knew was not like that.
I gave a sigh and looked at him, it was always the same excuse coming from him.
"You only say that because you really don't know Peter, he is the kindest and wonderful person you'll ever meet, he has been nothing but a gentleman and the most perfect boyfriend I could ever ask for." I told Mason, he truly did not know him, most people didn't.
