There was nothing but complete silence, all you could hear was the loud drizzle that the rain made against the windows.
"You two are related?" I asked still shocked, the mere fact that still foreign and impossible for me.
Olivia met my gaze and simply shrugged.
"Why do you think I know Brittany so well? She was after all my mother." Olivia said and for the first time ever I really opened my eyes, I could see the similarity in between them, they had the same blue eyes but even despite that Olivia clearly had the Davis blood in her, she also had a couple of features of the Falcon family, in some way we did look alike.
There was a sudden thunder that startled me brining me back to reality away from my thoughts, I looked around and found myself alone in the hallway with William.
"What are you doing?" I asked him as my voice broke.
I was not going to lie, I was afraid because the gem Ryder had given me was supposed to keep everyone out of my head which only meant one thing, William had only gotten stronger.
"Don't let him truly get to you." A voice said behind me.
I turned around and saw how Olivia got closer to me.
I frowned at her confused, how was she here as well?
"How did you get here?" I said still shocked.
"He is not the only one that has mastered mind control thing." Olivia told me.
I looked back at William and saw that he was intently staring at us as if he was studying us closely.
"You know Alice, at this point I truly did believe you would do better, that in this occasion you would actually put up a fight." William said in a mocking manner.
I narrowed my gaze at him and to his surprise I simply shrugged.
"What's the point if no matter what I do you seem to always have the upper hand especially since the game you play isn't quite fair and only seems to work to you advantage." I told him and William just smirked in response.
"It seems like you know me very well Alice." William replied in a calm tone.
"I do indeed, I know for a fact that it was only a matter of time before you decided to come here, as we speak the hunters within the Academy have already intercepted and attacked your men, if you are lucky enough you'll manage to snuggle out with the blood your dear daughter has been retrieving for the past days but even then if it was the case the odds aren't quite in your favor." I retorted as I carefully watched his reaction, to put it in a few words William wasn't exactly pleased.
"Do you really think you have learned all my tricks?" William asked me cynically.
When I didn't answer he simply laughed at me.
"Alice." Olivia said in a warning tone.
"I'm afraid to say that you haven't seen nothing yet." William said and then it was followed by a blinding light.
I was completely blinded but even I could hear the distant voices and then a scream, that blood ripping screams that snapped me back to reality; I blinked continuously for a couple of seconds before my eyesight truly adjusted and I was able to see him.
He laid there on the middle of the hallway, eyes wide open and flesh drained of color, but what truly struck my heart was the slash on his throat, the recent wound a vivid red color, with tears on my eyes I rushed to his side kneeling next to his soon to be lifeless body.
My shaky hands were attached to his wound trying to prevent the blood from spilling out, but it was all useless, no matter what I did nothing could save him now, nothing could stop this.
