"Well, this sure is a first." She commented making me smile.

"You say it as if it was not normal at all." I said as I started to set up the rest of my station.

"Yeah right, as if hearing the voice of my brother's ex-girlfriend inside of my head is normal." Claire said as she snorted, I could already imagine Claire rolling her eyes at me.

I gave a low chuckle and started to type in the specifics of the mission.

"Do you know so far what you're supposed to do?" I asked Claire as I pinpointed her location among the one of other several hunters.

"All they told me before dropping us off was that I had been assigned to this mission and that you would talk me through it." Claire told me in a small voice.

I nodded slowly as I started to search for the routes of the building in the screen.

"Normally for the evaluation, the final one which defines and determinates whenever or not you graduate, for this the Academies set up a simulation in which you place all your abilities to test under observation, well that was of course before the vampire rebels started to attack the Academies. Now we will have to do everything a bit different." I said explaining Claire everything once and for all.

"How different are they now?" Claire asked me in a wary tone, she had all the reason to be distrustful about this.

"Instead of being a simulation it's an actual mission." I told Claire.

"What if I fail?" Claire asked me, I could clearly hear the fear laced up in her voice.

"Just don't." I told her in a stern voice.

I carefully gave the instructions to every single hunter in the mission; this was quite a change being in the control room for once instead of being in the actual mission, that was of course because of my nurse's order; Eleanor didn't think it was the best idea I went to any mission as long as I wasn't sure whenever or not I was pregnant since I could get badly hurt and if I was pregnant I could end up losing the baby.

Being in this station instead of the actual mission was a bit odd but everything seemed to be going quite perfect; that was of course before Claire got busted by two vampires.

"What now?" Claire asked me in panic.

I hacked the rest of the security cameras looking for better angles so I could search for an alternative for Claire to escape.

"Do you still have that small concentrated bomb necklace; the one I gave to every hunter before this mission? Move your right index finger if you do, alright?" I told Claire carefully.

As soon as Claire raised her finger, I gave a small sigh in relief.

"Alright, so you'll throw the bomb and once the vampires are distracted you will jump out the window." I told Claire slowly.

"What? Are you out of your mind?" Claire shrieked causing the vampires to look at her confused.

"It's only a four-story fall, besides you'll fall on a trash container, an industrial one of course so you have nothing to worry about." I told her.

If I was in this mission, I wouldn't have hesitated at all, I would already be out, in the trash obviously.

"I'm not sure about this." Claire said in a shaky voice.

"It's that or being killed by those vampires, this is up to you." I told her blankly.

Claire gave a sigh before she yanked her necklace and threw it to the floor making the vervain bomb go off; as soon as the vampires were blinded Claire threw herself against the window finally making her exit. When I heard groan, I knew that she had landed on the trash bags and was relatively safe.
