"Alice, come on princess get up. We need to get out of here!" A voice said snapping me back to reality.

I gave a groan as Rob lifted me by under my arms, my lungs were burning; I felt as if they were literally on fire. I groggily opened my eyes and saw that there was smoke everywhere; it felt as if I was slowly suffocating to death.

"Where are the others?" I murmured faintly as Rob stumbled through the dead bodies of Nigel's vampires who weren't lucky enough to get out before it was too late.

"They're outside and okay, they're waiting for you." Rob told me reassuring me that soon everything was going to be fine.

As soon as we were out, I took a deep breath grateful for the fresh air, but as I did that the pain from my ribs and stab wounds subsided coming stronger than ever making me groan.

"Oh my god Alice, are you alright?" Eleanor said worried as she rushed towards me with Kyle in her arms.

"I'm alright." I lied as I noticed that Riley had a busted lip and Andrew's skin was slowly healing from the vervain bombs, I didn't even want to imagine how I currently looked.

"Are you sure?" Eleanor asked me.

I nodded and gave her a small tired smile.

"I'll live." I told her.

"Okay, we better get going." Rob told me and I noticed for the first time that Rob was carrying Kyle's baby bad, and it was a really mirthful image seeing someone as rouge looking as Rob with a purple bad that had small elephants printed all over.

Without even thinking I started to giggle.

"I think she lost the small amount of sanity she had left; she's gone mad." Riley said as she stared at me.

I tried to stand up straighter with Rob's help and ignored the dizziness that was taking over.

"So, you're going to let me borrow your car?" I asked him as I pressed my hand to my stab wound wincing a little by it.

"I'd be completely insane if I let you drive my car especially in this condition." Rob told me with a stern look.

I tried to keep my expression blank so they really wouldn't see how much pain I really was in.

"But I had to be in the Academy by nightfall." I protested as I met his gaze.

Rob glared at me.

"Are you even serious now princess, you cannot even stand up straight without tears emerging from your eyes because of the pain; yet you still say that you're fine." Rob told me as he shook his head in disbelief.

"That's not true." I said but my voice betrayed me breaking because of the pain.

"You'll spend the night at my place, princess you are in no condition to travel." Rob told me.

"We're staying here?" Riley said making a face as she stared at the building that now had all the windows broken due to the bullets that had been previously shot.

I rolled my eyes at her, if only Riley really knew where Rob actually lived.

"I'm taking you to my home." Rob told us.

I started to walk and looked at Rob trying to control my raged breathing.

"Alright, lead the way Robert." I told him out of breath.

Rob looked at me and rolled his eyes.

"See this is what I'm talking about, you cannot even walk by yourself." Rob said before he carried me in his arms bridal style, I was far too tired to even complain about it.
