To say that it was cold outside was an understatement, honestly I wouldn't complain about it given the fact that I didn't feel the sudden drop of temperature but the air was clearly fresh, our breaths visible in the moonlight night and soon everything around us was filled by the chattering noise Eleanor did with her teeth.

"Can you be quiet?" Andrew snarled at her.

"Sorry if I don't have vampire abilities like you do and for your information, I'm freezing to death here." Eleanor snapped at him.

"Where are we going?" I asked when a strange smell filled up my nose.

"To the horses' stables, we need to be there." Andrew told me as he tugged me along to quicken my pace.

"What for Andrew, why do we have to come here for at this hour?" I asked him confused.

Andrew looked at me.

"How do you think we're getting out of here?" Andrew told me as we entered the stables.

"Can't we use a car?" I asked him as I looked at the horses, I don't recall them being so big.

"No, we can't, it's either leaving on the horses or walking out of here." Andrew told me.

I bit my lip thinking about it for a while.

"I'm actually up for a midnight walk." I told him with a cheeky smile.

Andrew narrowed his gaze at me.

"I don't know why you're so against it but we're leaving on the horses given the fact that it's our only way out of here." Andrew told me.

I nodded and let out a shaky breath that I didn't even know I was holding to begin with.

"Alright then, I'll get on the bloody horse." I said once I realized that there was no way to possibly avoid this.

"You weren't afraid of attacking a bunch of blood starving vampires yet you're afraid of a harmless horse?" Andrew said as he quietly laughed at me.

I nudged him rolling my eyes.

"I've never ridden a horse before and to be honest with you they terrify me to the core." I admitted.

Before Andrew could say something back mocking my stupid fear someone spoke from the darkness.

"You're late." A voice said before a girl with a torch come into view.

The girl had black jeans, a leather jacket and boots with high heels along with that she had a pasty complexion with wide hazel eyes and long blonde hair.

"Who is she?" I asked Andrew as I looked at the girl wary; you never knew who you could trust.

"This is Riley; she has been working in the stables for quite a long time, so she knows the horses better than anyone here." Andrew explained.

I looked at her.

"And what do you get in on this Riley?" I asked her.

Riley looked at me with a smirk.

"My freedom, I've been here for quite some time and I would like to get out besides there is no one else here that knows the paths and the forest better than I do." Riley said in a cocky tone.

I glared at her.

"Alright but if you cross us, I won't hesitate on killing you." I told her.

Riley started at me blankly before she laughed.

"I've been here various years darling; I reckon you can't say or do anything that will scare me. Now Barbie, you're riding with me." Riley said as she looked at Eleanor and walked away.
