"I'm proud of you." Those were the last words I heard from my mum before I was back, back in the cemetery, everyone was there speechless, and I clearly saw my body laid there covered in blood lifeless.

"Is this what you wanted William?" Eva said in tears.

"You know very well that this was the last thing I wanted, she's now useless to me." William spat angry.

"She's not dead." Ryder said suddenly his gaze focused on my body.

"I know we're all shocked, but we have to assimilate the facts." Eva told him.

"No, look she's breathing, and her wounds are healing!" Ryder said happy as he stared at my body.

I walked up closer to my own body and I saw how I slowly opened my eyes before getting up as if nothing had happened.

"How is this even possible?" William said shocked as so was I, he among everyone else had been witness of how I had ended my life moments ago.

"You selfish bastard!" I screamed at him, well my body did.

I just stood there shocked like everyone else.

"Alice?" Eva asked confused.

"How dare you break off this family once again? You ought to only think about yourself as always never once considering the consequences of your stupid deliberated actions." I spat at him angry.

William looked at me truly confused for a split second before he smirked at me in pure amusement.

"How nice of you to join us Anna, I feel like I haven't spoken to you in years, little sister." William said in a joking manner.

"Why are you attempting on doing this once again William? Why do this if the last time you failed? Why don't you give up once and for all? I asked him in disbelief.

"You know very well why I tried this." William simply replied.

I, or more like Anna, my grandmother who was in my body stared at him blankly pretending to be lost.

"No, I don't, so please enlighten me dear brother. Tell me the reason of why you viciously attacked my family over and over again?" I questioned him.

"You know very well why, Alice since she was born, she has been special, Allice was born from two of the purest bloodlines, she was born to be a queen, that itself is more than enough said, Alice is the key to salvation." William explained to her, but I immediately frowned.

"More like the doom and our extinction if she is let to your hands. I really don't understand why you are so stubborn William, just give up!" I told him.

"Do you even have to ask Anna? I won't rest until I have my daughter back!" William snarled at her.

"Get it through that thick skull of yours brother, your daughter is not coming back. There is not enough will nor power to bring your daughter back from hell, but if you're doing this because you miss her, don't fret for soon you'll be there to join her." Anna said in my body and I smiled I must say she was quite sassy, and we weren't much different at all, it was almost as if we were the same person.

No pun intendent due to this situation.

"If I were you, I would be more careful with my words." William said threatening her.

I gave a chuckle and go really close to William to the point that we were nearly chest to chest.

"Or you'll do what Will? I stopped being afraid of you a long time ago." I told him with a smirk.

"And when was that, before or after I killed you?" William countered back.

Anna snarled at him before she slapped him managing to scratch his left cheek drawing some blood.

William cursed in Russian before he stabbed Anna, well me because at the end of the day it was my body, everyone tried to fire back alarmed as William twisted the stake inside my abdomen but as they got closer they soon realized that they couldn't get in as William had protected the ground around as long as the ceremony was taking place.

"You really shouldn't have done that." I snarled at him, I could see how my eyes were glowing and how a blue light came from my hands.

Within a blink of an eye I used that light hitting William and soon he was down on his knees.

"Will, look at that you were right, Alice is a very strong vampire, strong enough to kill you in a blink of an eye." I said with a smirk as I slowly got up and looked down at him.

"But you won't, why?" William asked me.

"Because just like you, both Alice and I we enjoy a good chase, so run while you still can Will." I said and he did.

Before we even knew it William as well as the men that we still standing left the place in a blink of an eye.

Once he was gone, I dropped to my knees exhausted, I looked up, well Anna did, and she met my gaze somehow, she could actually see me.

"Now you can come back Alice, you belong here. You are nowhere near it being your time to leave this world." Anna told me standing up before she was gone, and I was back to my body leaving that dreadful nightmare behind as I landed flat on my butt.

Everything was earie quiet but as I struggled to get up, I looked at them who apparently were still in shock.

"Are the lot of you just going to stand there like bloody fools or are you actually going to help me?" I said completely irritated as the pain twisted in my stomach.

"Alright, that is Alice." Beck said before Mason, Ryder and my dad rushed to my side.

"Are you okay?" Mason asked me as they helped me get up.

"I do believe that your definition of okay is quite different from mine dear brother." I said groaning in pain as they slowly made me stand up.

"We should probably do something with that stake that is halfway in your body." Mason said, I rolled my eyes at the habit my brother had of pointing out what was quite blatant.

I looked at Ryder.

"Just pull it out, do it quickly." I told him before biting my lip as Ryder followed.

As soon as the stake was out of my body I immediately started to heal, I guess my grandmother had left part of her strength with me.

"What the hell was that?" My dad asked me as we all headed to the others.

"I had given William my word that I would give him my blood so he could make the ceremony tonight." I explained as I leaned into Ryder suddenly feeling the cold air around us.

"But clearly you didn't, you didn't keep your word." Eva said staring at me.

I smiled at her.

"Oh no, I did keep my word to the very end, I simply just found a loophole to our deal." I said smiling as I recall how once William has said those words to me before, but unlike him I wasn't going to force him to marry some complete stranger to keep his bloodline pure or anything like that.

No, I was simply not going to give him what he wanted, my grandmother as well as Olivia had told me the exact reason why I should never allow Brittany to come back.

"You didn't do the ritual, it didn't happen?" Eva asked.

"No, it did. The ceremony carried through the end." I said as I started to shiver, I was feeling very odd.

"Did it work?" My dad asked as I started to shiver, and he looked around.

I guess he expected to see Brittany.

"Alice!" Alik screamed as he rushed towards us, his clothes covered in blood.

"Did it work?" I asked as my heart started to beat faster.

"You have to come and see this!" He said out of breath.
