"Guys, we're running out of time," Stiles warned. I panted as I stepped away from the door, the other two doing the same.
"What the hell... It's like bionic door," I wheezed, putting my hands on my knees so I could catch my breath.
"We can't. It's the Mountain Ash. It's too much," Scott panted.
I heard Liam's knuckles crack as he clenched his fist. "Hit me," he said.
"What?"
"Excuse me?" Scott and I asked at the same time.
Liam turned around, looking at both of us like he didn't care who it would be. "Hit me."
"Liam, we're not going to hit you," Scott replied, shaking his head.
I searched inside myself, but I honestly think I couldn't hit Liam even if I wanted to. "I can't hit you, Liam."
"I'll get angry, and then I'll get stronger," Liam explained. Scott and I gave each other a 'no way Jose' look, then we turned it to Stiles thinking he was thinking the same thing.
Instead, Stiles said, "Hit him. Hit him!" Scott scoffed to tell them that there was no way it was happening.
"I tried to take your powers!" Liam taunted. "I tried to kill you. Hit me!" Scott closed his eyes, trying not to get angry.
"He also left you for dead," Stiles helped.
"Shut up, Stiles. Scott, don't hit him," I said.
Liam put a hand on me and shoved me away from Scott, seething, "I wanted you dead!" Out of nowhere, Scott's fist collided with Liam's face, accompanied by a short squeak from me. Both of them grunted with the pain, and Liam panted, hunched over, before looking back up at Scott. "Do it again."
Seeing Liam in pain took me back to moments I didn't want to remember. Through the bond we had, it was almost like whenever he was in pain, all I wanted to do was cry and help him. "Scott, don't!" I yelled. I grabbed Scott's arm, but I was too late as it slipped from my grasp. Before I could see the collision, I turned my body into Stiles' to hide my face in his chest. He hugged me protectively, one hand on my back, the other on the back of my head. He held me tighter when I jumped at the sound of Liam's yell of pain.
"It's gotta be harder than that," Stiles said, uncaring of Liam's pain. I didn't want to move from his arms, so instead I slammed the bottom of my fist against his chest just enough to hear him grunt in slight pain.
"Do it!" Liam growled, his breaths coming in short bursts of anger. I heard Scott's low growl as Liam yelled for him to do it again. The sound of Scott's fist connecting with Liam's cheek made my entire body clench. On one hand, I wanted to break Scott's hand for hitting Liam, on the other hand, I knew on some very, very deep level that if Liam didn't get angry, Lydia wouldn't be saved.
Liam screamed loudly, bridging the line between anger and pain.
"Yeah!" Stiles cheered, but he stopped halfway because he knew that I would punch him again, this time harder. Liam's heart rate skyrocketed as Scott's last hit fractured his cheekbone.
"You angry?" Scott taunted, which was only responded by Liam's furious growl. I felt it was safe to look now, so I turned my head slightly so I could see Liam out of one eye. His eyes were glowing and his fangs were dripping with saliva. "Let's do this."
The two slammed back up against the door, trying again to take it down.
"You gunna help?" Stiles asked. He was being snarky, but there was a glint in his eyes that said he thought I was adorable.
