"Good morning, sunshine." The handsome man beside me greeted me and kissed my forehead. I smiled at him with my morning face.
"Good moring, love" I greeted him back and closed my eyes for awhile. He is softly caressing my hair now. Naramdaman kong naupo sya sa tabi ko habang pinaglalaruan pa din ang buhok ko.
"wala ka bang naaalala ngayong araw?" he asked.
"what's with the date october 27?" I asked him back and opened my eyes to look at him only to see that he's pouting. I laughed.
Naupo din ako at sinapo ang pisngi nya.
"Just kidding! Happy 7th anniversarry, love!" His lips automatically formed a smile.
"Happy anniversarry too. I love you." He whispered and kissed my lips.
"I'm so lucky to have you in my life. Please don't leave me again, I might be die without you." I weakly said.
He holds my hand and looked at me. There's a hint of extreme pain in his eyes when he uttered his words.
"Please be strong even without me."
"No, love, I want you beside me. You're not leaving me again, right?"
"I'm sorry." he mouthed and kisses the back of my hand.
A drop of tears escape from his eyes.
Nailipat ko ang tingin sa pinto ng aking kwarto only to see my mom silently crying while watching me.
"Mom? what are you doing there? You should've knock. Harper and I were talking."
She didn't say anything sa halip ay mabilis niya akong tinabihan at niyakap.
"H-Hey, mom, what's problem? why are you crying?"
"Honey, please just accept it."
"Accept what, mom?"
"Harper is already dead! He's now in heaven!"
Bumalik na naman ang napakasakit na pakiramdam sa dibdib ko. Hindi ko na napigilan ang sunod-sunod na patak ng aking luha. I glare at my mom.
"There's nothing to accept, mom. Harper is alive. W-We even greeted each other a happy anniversarry and you interrupted us."
"No, honey, you're alone here."
Umiling ako kay mommy. Hindi naniniwala sa sinabi niya. Lalo syang humikbi.
"The two of you were in a vacation that time when accident happened. Ikaw lang nakaligtas...dahilan kung bakit tayo pa din ang sinisisi ng pamilya ni Harper hanggang ngayon."
The nightmare flahes back on my mind again as reality hits me.
"Please tanggapin nalang natin. Hindi ko kayang nakikita kang ganyan, anak."
She hugged me tight. I cried in her shoulder so hard.
