10:35 in the morning , Anne walked into the school house greeted by Diana.
" Hello my darling Diana! I'm so sorry I was late, I woke up late and Marilla was headed to Charlotte town I had to make my own breakfast but-"Anne turned around to see a tall boy with brown curly hair.
" Why Hello Anne, How are you today?"Asked the brown haired boy.
" Just fine thank you"Anne said while grabbing Dianas hand and pulling her to their desk.
" You aren't being very nice to Gilbert, he just asked you how your day was!" Diana told Anne while putting her books on their desk .

Anne looked over to Gilbert , he was talking to Moody .
"Anne! Is staring at Gilbert Blythe helping you learn what this months project is about?" Asked Mrs. Stacy in front of the whole class. Anne jumped back into reality , she felt odd. She looked up at mrs. Stacy with her arms crossed.
" No I- I was just looking at the bird on the tree outside of the window. It's was just so astonishing I couldn't help myself but stare. I mean who- who wouldn't?"
" I wouldn't , only an ugly orphan would" said Josie followed by the whole class laughing except Ruby , Diana and Gilbert. Gilbert looked angry . Anne turned back to Josie . " I know I'm an orphan but at least I'm smart. I mean all you want to talk about is boys and being a wife!"Anne said without thinking about what would happen next.

Billy Andrews , Billy Andrews is the bully along side Josie Pye. Billy stood up started to making ruffing noises. "Aw is the ugly dog sad? " Billy said while laughing. Gilbert stood up. Hands clenched into fists , he walk up to billy then ......

No he didn't punch Billy.

" Bud sit down. You're not doing yourself a favour by doing this"Gilbert told billy putting his hand on Billy's shoulder almost pushing Billy into his seat.

" Okay then, now that that's over I will continue on this months project. You and you're partner will have to go out and find 5 biotic things and 4 abiotic things. Bring them back to me with writing on what they are and if biotic or abiotic ." Mrs . Stacy said while looking around the room to people making partners .
" I will make the partners today since everyone picked the same partner as the last time" Mrs . Stacy put everyone into partners and the last two people there were Anne and Gilbert.
" NO ! NO . I CAN NOT BE PARTNERS WITH GILBERT BLYTHE" yelled Anne.

Everyone turned from their seats to look at Anne .
" May I ask why not?" Asked Gilbert .
" I - I" For once Anne was out of words . She'd already used the " Carrots " excuse to many times and that was the only reason why she was angry with Gilbert.
" Okay then. Gilbert and Anne you will be partners." Anne just sat there . Gilbert looked at her. He was so happy that he was partners with Anne!

Gilbert's POV ( after school)
" Gilbert you rather smiley today" Mary said making dinner.
" OHHH I know , Anne smiled at him." Bash said smiley at Gilbert. Gilbert sat his bag on the floor and sat down to dinner. " No , actually Anne and I are partners for a project. Even though she doesn't want to be my partner I'm still happy that she is mine" Gilbert said while eating his food.

Anne's POV
" I JUST CANT BELIEVE IT DIANA I MEAN , ME AND GILBERT? UGHH" Anne sat down on a rock next to Diana. Diana looked at Anne and tried to hide her laugh but she couldn't help it. "Diana! Could you stop that. I'm very serious. Gilbert will just annoy me the whole time we are working and I will not have it. I know that he is the SECOND best student in the class but-" Diana cut Anne off . " Anne, ANNE . Oh my word , you talk so much! I hope you know that Gilbert has a crush on you that's why he teased you and called you carrots." Anne looked surprised. Again she had no words. " But that - that day , we had just met. He had no idea who I was!" Anne kept talking, Diana knew that whatever she said it wouldn't convince Anne unless she had proof!
