The church had flower lines attached to every seat. There were sunflowers set in vases on the chairs and the torch's had been set. There was fire all along the sides of the church, Gilbert had asked if they could have that done just for Anne's temper. Diana looked over at Fred who wasn't going up there with Gilbert (moody either) but still felt so happy for him. Diana told him about how they were in school Gilbert had a massive crush on her. He was smitten on her the first time he met her.
Diana and Fred linked arms. As they walked down the aisle together Diana looked at Marilla. She smiled at Anne's mother knowing that she was so proud of Anne. As Diana looked up to see who Gilbert's best man was she saw Bash. Her and Bash never really talked a lot but since Gilbert and Anne were getting married maybe they should more often.
Diana couldn't believe this day was finally happening. Her and Cole were had been planning this day since Gilbert had returned back from the boat. They used to go to the writing club after school and pull out the book. The first thing that they did was draw the wedding dresses, they knew right away they Anne would pick the third one since it had more flowers and it was puffier.
The next pair was Ruby and Moody. They remembered when they got married. They were the first out of their friend group. Then Diana and Fred and now Anne and Gilbert. It was funny how almost everyone got married in the friend group. None of them had seen Charlie in a few months. They had all guessed that he had enough of Avonlea ever since Diana and Fred got married. Even Anne knew that he was smitten over her but Diana never loved him. Yes she liked him. But never loved.
Cole turned to face Anne. She looked absolutely stunning. Her hair was in a updo with flowers all through it

The dress fit her perfectly. She looked like a princess. 'God help Gilbert when he sees her' Cole thought to himself.
"Okay. I'm ready" Anne said with a huge smile. She couldn't wait to marry Gilbert. It felt like just yesterday she was ignoring him and she whacked him across the head with her slate. Now she was marrying him and she couldn't be more happier.
The door opened once more to let Anne and Cole walk threw. Everyone stood up and looked over at the bride. Gilbert stares at Anne, she looked beautiful. Her hair, the dress, all the flowers, everything was perfect. The day was finally here. He was marrying the woman of his dreams. He remembered back to the time when Anne refused to speak to him, it was a low point in his life. He was so interested in Anne, the way she read out loud in front of the class. Not giving a care in the world about how people thought about her. But if she did she'd definitely smack them with her slate. Marilla ( who was crying ) smiled at her little girl. She remembered when Anne arrived with Matthew. They had wanted a boy and yet they got Anne. Marilla wished she'd been more easy on Anne from the beginning. But she guessed that all the rules and boundaries shaped Anne into who she is today. Anne looked at everyone and thought of how much of an impact Avonlea has made on her, she's met friends for life . Kindred Spirits.
