Anne and Diana had walked to school together as they always did. This time they pretended they were pirates exploring the new land they had just spotted. They were having so much fun then , of course Gilbert came. "Hello Anne, Diana... Anne when are we going to start our project it is due in 2 weeks you know! He he" Gilbert asked looking uncomfortable. Anne just looked at him. She forgot what he had said, she just spat out some random words . " Tonight ! Tonight we can! It will be fun! We can have a walk around the woods !"

Gilbert looked surprised . Anne had never spoken 10 words to him. Now all of the sudden she wants to have a walk with him at night! Wait ... AT niGHt? Why at night? Why not after school? Anne and Diana walked away .

After school

" why hello there Anne! Are you ready? I mean I am" Gilbert said while grabbing his coat. It was fall, Anne loved everything about fall, the leaves, the smell , all of the changing colours and much more . " Yes Gilbert Blythe , I am ready, I will have you know that we are not walking together we are doing a project together!" Anne said while grabbing her coat and rushing outside . Gilbert caught up with her . " could I maybe hold your bag?" Asked Gilbert . " N- Oh alright , why do you always ask me that. It's not like I'm not capable with holding my own bags. I'm very independent as you know" Anne kept talking. Gilbert listened to what Anne had to say.

1 hour goes by . Anne liked Gilbert , he wasn't actually that bad. She had learned about him meeting Bash and Mary , his dad died just before she had got there and that he has a wonderful orchard . As Anne looked up she tripped on a rock and fell to the ground. Gilbert looked back at Anne , she was passed out . He picked her up and carried her to his house. " Gil what are you doing with this girl? " " this is um. Anne , she fell in the woods , call the doctor now! And Mary could you set a room up for her, I'll try my best to help heal the wound ."

Anne woke up to find someone staring at her. Gilbert. Ugh why Gilbert . I mean I know I got to know him it's just he's just so so so. I can't think of anything . Oh no am I warming Up To GILBERT BLYTHE?? " Anne you're alright! I was beginning to worry there. Do you need an extra blanket or pillow?" Asked Gilbert . Anne looked around the room. She noticed this wasn't her room. It was a small room. With a single bed and a chair. One window and the light was shining through the curtains. " what - what happened? Where am I here? Where is Diana , Marilla and Matthew?" Anne Asked still looking around the room. " well if I just say, you tripped on a rock and passed out from blood loss. You're all better now , I called the doctor . You're at my house and in my spare bedroom. I hope you don't mind , my house was closer to where we were than yours ." Anne looked surprised yet happy that Gilbert did that. " thank you Gilbert . I best be on my way. Don't want to worry Matthew and Marilla." Gilbert thought she would have said : thank you Gilbert , I am truly sorry I ignored you all those years. You're very kind , friends?
Yet no , he knew that Anne Shirley Cuthbert was very stubborn. Anne walked home and saw Diana there worried. " Anne ! Anne you're alright whatever happened?" Asked Diana. Diana got there looking for Anne. She had thought her and Gilbert would be done in 30 minutes seeing that they are the smartest in the class. "Gilbert and I were doing the project and I looked up because I saw the most splendid bird. It was soaring through the sky , then the next thing I know I am in Gilbert Blythe's spare bedroom." Diana grinned " so does this mean you forgive Gilbert? He did save you , you know" Anne thought of what Diana said : He did save you , you know: " No, I just simply got up thanked him than left! I can never forgive Gilbert for what he said . Yes I know he " saved" me but that does not mean I need to forgive him!" Diana rolled her eyes.
Night
Anne had been thinking of what Diana had said before ( he did save you , you know ) Anne knew that he saved her but that doesn't mean she should forgive him for what he did. They were enemies not friends . That would just be weird , friends with Gilbert Blythe, but would it be so weird? Yes , yes it would be ..
