•Exciting News•

It was past Christmas. Anne was still fairly upset that Gilbert couldn't make it to Avonlea but she understood that he wanted to go. The snow was falling and Anne couldn't wait to finally talk with Diana. She hadn't seen her since November . Which was odd because usually they always speak with each other. She made her way to Diana and Fred's house when she heard yelling coming from it.

Anne's POV
I couldn't possibly knock on the door. They were arguing about something but it was different to hear Diana yell. Normally she never yells because her mother told her it was improper . Suddenly the door opened wide and there came Diana walking out. Her belly was a lot bigger than last month and she was pretty mad .

Third person

Diana looked in front of her and saw Anne waving her hand slightly. A smile came upon Diana's face and she walked over to anne .

"I'll be back later . We'll continue when I come back" Diana said in a huff and she linked arms with Anne and started to walk . "Where exactly are we going?" Anne Asked looking around . Diana shrugged her shoulders "anywhere really. Maybe green gables , or Bash's and Mary's house?" Diana said quickly. Anne stopped walking which made Diana come to a full on holt. She turned around to face Anne with a confused look on her face.

"What were you two fighting about? It seems to be bothering you" Anne asked , she was worried for Diana. "Well if you really must know , I told him that I think we should move out of the house before the baby comes" she said as she began to walk slowly. Anne followed as Diana continued. "He told me that the house is perfectly fine , I mean yes it's huge! I know , I lived there my entire life. I just want to have a smaller home , with a few bedrooms rather than 10!" Diana said with a annoyed voice.

Anne nodded along . "He disagrees. Then it started to become a fight that I don't think we deserve that house or something , like that we aren't rich enough and that falls on him. Which isn't what I said at all." Diana sighed. "Well why were you guys yelling then?" Anne asked .

"Because , he thinks it's because of him . He was putting words into my mouth! Ugh I hate it when he does that. I've been letting it go for so long now and as of now I'm done! It's so annoying" Diana rolled her eyes noticing that they were walking towards green gables.

"Are you going to speak with him at all? Because it seems like you still have more to say. It could also be that he feels like he's not making enough money , so he's trying to make you sound like you're saying it" Anne suggested . Diana nodded her head with a sigh.

"Let's just stop talking about it , not to sound rude or anything. I just really don't want today to go like this" Diana said to Anne in a pretty polite voice. Anne realized that Diana was upset by the whole thing and agreed that they should stop.

"Once we get inside I want to start talking more about you're wedding! I haven't seen you in forever , have you guys picked out a date yet?" Diana said with a big smile on her face. Anne shook her head .

"No , I've only gotten one letter from him since we last talked. He had written about what type of flowers we should have , Who his best man was going to be. I totally agree with him" Diana wanted to know who it was and Anne caught on . "It's Bash . Anyway the date of the wedding never really came up. I guess I could ask him when I write to him tonight" Diana nodded her head to the idea.

They spent the next two hours planning some of the wedding and talking about how funny it is that Anne and Gilbert ended up together. That day was kind of like a more grown up version of the lunch's they had almost every Saturday. They had forgotten about it , with Diana being pregnant and Anne being engaged in all.

Dear Gilbert

Diana and I were talking about the wedding today . She's really excited about it , as am I . The one thing that came up was when the date was going to be. I had realized that we never really confirmed one so I wanted to ask if a fall wedding would be okay. I love the colour of it and how to trees all have different colours. It's just a suggest though , I'd love a summer wedding as well.
