Gilbert had left green gables and Anne headed over to Diana's place. She needed to apologize for acting for weird when Diana told her the big news. As she knocked on the door she could hear giggling coming from the backyard.

She started walking over and saw that it was Fred and Diana.

"Diana! Fred . You two look lovely" Anne said with a smile. Fred nodded his head , he didn't seem all that excited to see Anne.

"Um , Diana May I speak with you?" Anne Asked. Diana nodded her head and looked at Fred. She kissed his cheek and followed Anne.

"Diana. I'm truly very sorry for what I said yesterday. I'm very excited about you getting engaged. It just took me by surprise. You've always told me you wanted a strong tall man . I now know that you love Fred . You two will make a beautiful family together" Anne said hoping Diana would forgive her do her actions.

Diana laughed . "Oh don't be silly! I get that you were just surprised. I mean when you told me that Gilbert had proposed . I wasn't all that surprised. You two had been courting for a few months , plus he'd liked you for years. So it didn't really come to any shock. But Fred and I hadn't courted , hadn't really even spoken with eachother. So I completely understand" Diana said with a smile. Anne nodded her head in relief.

"Now. I need to hear these plans" Anne said as Diana linked up with Anne.

"Well his mother's very strict . She only wants certain things but I think it'll make the wedding a whole lot better" Diana smiled while imagining her wedding.

"Oh and of course you're my bridesmaid" Diana said as Anne's mouth dropped. She had never been anyone's bridesmaid. She hadn't even thought anyone would want her to be one.

"Oh Diana. I can't wait! You and Fred will be so adorable together" Anne knew that this is what Diana wants. She was so happy for her. As they walked arm in arm they continued to talk about the wedding. It was in a year that way Diana could finish school , and Fred of course.

As the two bosom friends arrived back at Diana's house Anne sighed.

"It's hard to think that everyone in Avonlea is growing up" Anne said while they took a seat on the front porch.

"I heard Moody's planning on purposing to ruby next week!" Diana said smiling for ruby. Anne nodded her head. All her friends were growing up, she just wanted it to go back when Miss Stacy would take the class out on walks . They would explore the forest , learn new things. At queens they'll probably not do any of that sort of thing.

"Well are you excited for queens?" Diana asked seeing that Anne had a frown.

"Oh yes , I'm very excited. I'm so happy that you're going and we're roommates!" Anne said with glee. Diana laughed being very excited just thinking about it.

"I wonder what we'll do first?" Diana asked . Anne nodded her head while thinking. They both smiled and looked at the sunset.

"Diana. I'm really happy for you. You deserve everything , I can't wait until the wedding" Anne said looking at Diana . After Anne had said that Fred came out behind the wall.

"She does doesn't she" Fred said as he sat beside Diana. Anne nodded her head and stood up.

"Well I best be off. I have to talk to Gilbert , he'll be leaving soon" Anne said as she stepped down the stairs. Diana furrowed her eyebrows as anne hadn't told her before.

"What do you mean? I thought he was leaving when we were" Diana said standing up leaving Fred on the porch. Diana walked towards Anne and placed her hand on Anne's left shoulder.
