• A plan? •

It was almost midnight by the time Gilbert and Jerry had arrived at green gables . Gilbert knocked on the door to see a very unpleased mr Cuthbert .

"Hello , Gilbert . Come in" Gilbert smiled and nodded his head. He felt terrible for not even letting Anne tell side of the story . He also knew that she wouldn't bully someone , so why did he believe Alice?

They walked into the dining room where the stairs were. Gilbert remembered how Anne was crying over here about someone , could it be Alice?

"Mr Cuthbert , May I speak with Anne? Please? I need to know her side of the story" Matthew nodded and allowed Gilbert to go up .

The stairs creaked at Gilbert places his foot in them , they were old stairs . Anne's bedroom was left of the staircase .

Anne's POV

I have no intention of speaking to Gilbert , he believes Alice . Not me .

Once I was done speaking to myself I heard a knock of the door.

"Marilla I told you! I don't need food , I'm in the depths of despair" I heard a chuckle as the door creaked open. I saw a hazel eyed brunette standing beside my door. I rolled my eyes and said "what do you want? Come to tell me you still believe Alice?"

Gilbert shook his head and sat down beside Anne on the bed. Anne's leg was still broken from her birthday party incident.

"Anne , what happened between you two?" Anne gave Gilbert a 'seriously' look and sat up .

"Well for starters , it had been three since I first got into the orphanage, Alice said and did very hurtful things , she - she told me no one would ever want me , she tore my favourite book into shreds and put it in ink! She hit me and punched me , she was the leader of the bully's . Not to mention she would say I'm ugly , redheaded orphan, a wicked witch-"

Gilbert stopped Anne with a hug. He didn't believe how he didn't believe Anne. He was courting her! Not Alice .

"Then why weren't you hanging out with me?"

"Because! You were always with Alice! Always. You wanted us to be friends again. She told you I bullied her than we became friends right? Wrong! She bullied me . For years! Not to mention that you didn't even ask me for once why I wasn't or asked Diana or Cole where I was!"

Gilbert didn't know what to say. He was speechless.

"Anne I-"

"Gilbert , if you want to still be friends with Alice , be friends with her. I'm fine with it, I'm not going to let myself make a friendship break. That would be a wicked thing to do! I have to get to sleep. Goodnight" Gilbert had a tear running down his face .

He stood up and walked out the door . He had to make things right between Anne and him. But how?

"Duh! You have to make a romantic plan for you guys!" Cole said rolling his eyes about how oblivious Gilbert is.

"Okay?" Diana sat down beside them.

"I heard everything that happened . Sorry!"

Anne wasn't at school today because of her broken leg and Gilbert . She wasn't mad at him , she just didn't want to see Alice with him so much. Yes she was jealous , what if he started liking her ? Anne thought she was ugly .

"Look, you know anne loves romance, right?" Gilbert nodded his head at cole.

"Sooo, do something to romantical for her!" Then Gilbert saw Alice approach him. He rolled his eyes and walked away with Diana and Cole. Leaving Alice standing alone and confused . A blonde haired boy walked up to her .
