•The beach•

"We've only got 26 letters of your favourite memory of Anne and Gilbert . We need at least 40 for what Diana and I are planning to do with them." Cole was sort of the boss. Miss Stacy stayed to mark some papers which allowed the students to stay after school. They called it the 'A+G meeting' .

This was a way for some students to think easier about their favourite memory or Anne and Gilbert. Once everyone was finished they had to give them to Cole and Diana.

Ever since Cole , Anne and Diana became best friends Diana and Cole would talk about Gilbert and Anne. They've planned out most of their wedding , where everyone's going to sit , the flowers and much more.

"So Diana , Anne told me that your parents have decided to let you go to college!" Cole nudged Diana's shoulder with a big huge. Diana nodded her head with a thought on her head. Diana was staring at Charlie who was still thinking of his first memory.

Cole caught on and laughed. Diana turned her head fast and gave Cole a look. "What? Why are you laughing?" Cole tried to stop but he couldn't .

"You , Charlie" he said laughing. Cole found it sort of cute that Diana was staring at Charlie. She had never really thought of anyone like this before. Diana crossed her arms and stuck her nose up in the air.

"I don't know what you're talking about" Diana tried to hide her smile because cole was correct , as always . Cole scoffed and pointed at him.

"You were looking at Charlie and probably thinking 'he's so cute'. You know I'm right , I always am" Cole kept teasing Diana until she had enough.

"Fine , maybe I was! But it's not like he'll even look at me like that. I think he has eyes for Josie" Diana shrugged her shoulders with sadness. This was the first time Diana had ever felt something like this.

Cole put his hand on Diana's left shoulder and said "don't worry , if he doesn't like you that way he doesn't deserve you" . Diana started to feel better.

"Hey , you've learned from Anne's pep talks. You're starting to sound like her a little bit" Diana laughed a little seeing that that made Cole feel proud.

It is almost May and Anne was ecstatic . Her and Diana plan a picnic every year when it's almost May. Today was the day but Anne had nothing to wear. She's been through her closet for the past hour trying to think of what to wear. All of the sudden she heard a knock on the door an raced down.

When she opened it she saw Diana with a small frown. She welcome her in seeing that she had the basket full of food. Not only that but she wanted to know what was wrong with Diana.

"Diana , what ever is bothering you so?" Anne was concerned for her. Diana has never been this sad before.

"Cole caught me staring at Charlie" Anne nodded her head following along with the story. "And told me if he doesn't like me , that he doesn't deserve me" Anne giggled thinking that that sounded like herself. But then she noticed that Diana wasn't done and listened. "So I took my shot. I asked if he liked someone and sure enough his said Josie"

Diana sighed and sat down on the couch in the green gables living room.

"Oh Diana. You aren't mad at Josie right?" Anne needed to know that. Diana shook her head. "Okay good , because it's not her fault he likes her. Now , maybe today we could have our picnic on the beach?" Diana furrowed her eyebrows. Had Anne completely forgot what she's just said?

"Silly , to talk about this. The beach is so relaxing that it might help" Anne saw that Diana looked confused at first but went along with it.

"Now come help , I need fashion advice and you're the expert" Diana laughed . "Yeah I am!" The two girls ran up the stairs to Anne's bedroom.
