"It's going to be so nice-"
"A romantic dinner at Patton's favourite restaurant-"
"Dessert at Logan's favourite restaurant-"
"We're going to the park that we had our first kiss at-"
"And then we're going to the beach that we had our first date at for a sunset walk!" Patton said. Roman looked at him sweetly.
"Awe! That's so-"
"Sickeningly sweet," Virgil said. Logan rolled his eyes.
"Well, I wanted tonight to be special, Virgil. I, uh..." He pulled out his wallet. A wring. Opal in the centre, small diamonds on either side. Virgil's eyes widened tonight.
"You're proposing tonight?! Logan are you insane! You've only been together for 2 years! You're 19, don't you think it's a little early for this? Patton's still living with his parents." Virgil exclaimed. Yes, Logan was only 19. But he had graduated from college. He skipped six grades. And he had a great job that paid him 1,298 dollars a week. He lived by himself in a small home by himself. Patton was over quite a lot. He had lots of clothes there, he even kept his favourite onesie there, he often had to wear his puppy onesie at home. And Logan's husky, Sherlock was one of Patton's favourite animals. Patton also quite favoured his own dog, Watson, a mutt that they got from the pound.
"Yes. I know it seems rushed, but you've been with me my whole life." Logan started. Virgil raised an eyebrow.
"You're proposing to Patton, not to me." He quipped. "Right?" He asked, panicked.
"Of course. But you've been with me my whole life, you've been my best friend since preschool, you've seen how he changes me!" Logan started. He shoved the ring back into his wallet. "He makes me nicer, he makes me accepting and he makes me happy. I want to be with him forever, please Virgil." He said.
"Again, you're proposing to Patton, not me. But why do you need my blessing? Patton loves you more than anything, he loves you more than me, his fuckin son man, he loves you more than cats and dogs, more than Roman, more than cookies, more than hot chocolate with millions of marshmallows. If I told you no and he found out, he'd marry you anyway. Why does it matter if you have mine when you'd have his?" Virgil asked. Logan smiled.
"Thanks for your personal brand of blessing."
I normally don't do this, but to clarify, time skip to the end of the date, sorry
"Logan, this was amazing," Patton said, turning to his boyfriend. He kept one hand at his own side, resting on his powder pink skirt, but held Logan's hand with the other. "I'm so happy with you." Logan smiled.
"I'm so happy with you too, Patton." Patton kept his hold on Logan's hand, but turned to look at the setting sun across the ocean. "It's beautiful, isn't it?" Logan asked, staring at Patton.
"Yeah." Logan nervously swallowed and pulled his hand away from Patton. He pulled the box out of his jacket.
"Patton..." He started. Patton turned to face Logan again.
"Yes, love?" Logan got down on one knee, making Patton's eyes widen.
"I, uh, I love you."
"I-"
"Let me finish, Patton. You make me happier than I've ever been before. And I want to be happy. And I want you to be happy. S-So, if you want, please accept my request, of you making my eternal happiness and being my husband. And I know that I don't have much to offer you, but-"
"Logan, you have so much to offer me! I have little to offer you. But uh..." Patton laughed a little bit and joined Logan on his knees. He pulled out a blue velvet box. He opened it and showed Logan a sapphire and diamond ring. "I, uh, was planning on proposing tonight. I love you so much, love. I want to be your husband." Logan whipped a tear from his face. He kissed his now fiance.
"I love you, Patton."
"I love you too, Logan. So much."
