AN-I know that this is not Logan's birthday. But who tf cares. Human AU, they're around 22.

"Okay, Patton, I just want one simple thing for my birthday, okay?" Logan asked, holding both of Patton's hands in his. Patton nodded, happily. "I know that you love throwing parties... right?" Logan's eyes were wide, worried, afraid.

"Yeah, I love throwing parties, Lo. Do you want a party?" Patton's eyes were bright, full of hope.

"No. I do not want a party. Do you hear me? Party? No... please." Logan asked, hopeful. He didn't like the loud noises that came with Patton's parties, and all the people. It was socially exhausting.

"I understand!" Patton said before winking.

"Patton, do you fully understand. Winking tends to show that someone is going to do something despite the instructions given. Patton, you understand that you really shouldn't throw me a party because I sincerely hate the noise and people?" Logan asked. Patton smiled.

"Of course, Lo!" Patton winked again. Logan turned around and walked about three feet away from him.

"Flames!" He hovered his hands near his cheeks and waved his fingers outward (AN- that feels weird to explain) "Flames on the sides of my face! See-- Seething fire!"

"Awe, Logan! What's wrong?" Logan turned to Patton

"You don't seem to understand, that I don't want a party for my birthday!" Logan said.

"I understand, Logan." Patton winked.

"I'm done, I'm going to my apartment, I'm sorry." Logan left the door and Patton smiled, even though his best friend had left.

"Logan! Happy birthday! Now let's go, we're going to the bookstore, you ironically idiotic nerd," Roman rand to wake up his 'dear' friend on his birthday. Because how else would you do it?

"Did Patton put you up to this?" Logan asked tiredly. "Is this part of his average plan, to get me out of the house so that he can set up in my apartment?

"No!" Roman snapped.

"Get out of my room so that I can change. Then we can go." Logan said and Roman, annoyed, waled out of Logan's room. Logan just changed into his normal clothes and left the room, his keys and wallet in hand, knowing very well that just because it was his birthday, Logan would be the one to pay.

"Yay, you're ready. C'mon, let's go." Roman said, voice flat. He wasn't even trying, and Logan wasn't stupid, he knew why, Patton just needed him out of the house all day so he could set up.

"Roman, I know what Patton's doing. I know him more than anyone. I know that despite my wishes, he s going to throw a party. And it makes him happy, so I am okay with it, but you do not need to act as if you want to do this," Logan told Roman. Roman rolled his eyes and left the apartment, texting on his phone.

"I want to go to the book store anyway," Roman told him, walking past the other person in the hallway. The other person was carrying a box that looked to big for them to carry, full of party supplies. They bumped into Logan.

"S-Sorry." The person looked up at Logan and Logan realized who it was.

"Patton?"

"Oh, hey, Lo! Happy birthday! What am I doing with these, you ask?" Patton asked nervously.

"I didn't ask that. I know--"

"I'm just putting them back into my apartment. Nothing to worry about here, Lo!" He said, nervously. He nervously laughed before walking past Logan and into his apartment.
