AU- Human,  high school, Roman and Emile be brothers

"Hey, you know something I noticed?" Roman asked. He was hanging out in Emile's room, laying on his bed. Emile was sitting in his desk chair.

"What did you notice?"

"Remy only ever calls you by your name. Like, he calls everyone by like nick names or 'babe' or whatever, but he doesn't call you by those things, which is weird because you're dating." Roman said, still staring at the ceiling. Emile thought for a moment.

"Yeah, I guess you're right. Strange."

"Hey babes, hey Emile." Remy said as he approached their small friend group. Remy kissed Emile's cheek. Emile cleared his throat quietly. Now that it had been pointed out to him, it kind of bothered him. Roman repressed a laugh.

"What's up, Rem?" Roman asked. Remy sipped his coffee.

"Nothin' much Ro, what about you?" Roman tried not to laugh again. Emile huffed out a slightly frustrated breath. "Emile, are you okay?"

"I'm fine." He said, glancing at Roman who looked like he may explode of laughter.

"M'kay, what about Lord Laughter?" Virgil asked, pointing at Roman. "He looks like he's gonna die."

"Well, everyone's going to die." Logan said, adjusting his glasses. Everyone went quiet and stared at Logan. "I am just stating facts."

"Well, solo polo prick, some of us would rather you didn't state anything... ever." Remy said, sparking small laughter around the group.

"I have a polo too." Patton said quietly.

"Indeed."

"So, I think I'm gonna try to get Remy to give me a nickname." Emile said as he paced near his brother. "I mean, he calls everyone else by a nickname, why doesn't he call me by a nickname? It makes no sense. I'm his boyfriend." Roman laughed softly.

"Dude, I think that you're taking this too seriously. I was just thinking and it drifted into my mind, I don't think that it's too big of a deal." Roman pointed out. Emile sighed.

"I know, but what if he doesn't actually like me! What if he's only with me out of pity!" Emile asked anxiously.

"Okay, first of all, Remy is not afraid to tell anyone what he thinks of them. Second of all, he asked you out. You need to be more chill, manic man." Roman said. Emile sighed with a small laugh at Roman's clear reference.

"I don't know. I guess it's just getting to me. It's like if Virgil started calling everyone else by nicknames." Emile used as an example. Virgil did nickname the other people in the friend group occasionally, but he usually stuck to their normal names. He really only called Roman by nicknames.

"Okay, that's a valid point." Roman wasn't dating Virgil, but he was crushing hard. "Maybe try subtly."

"Good idea."

"Hey, Sleeping Beauty." Emile greeted his boyfriend as he walked into their house. "How are you feeling today?" He asked sweetly, walking with him to his bedroom.

"I'm very happy." Remy said with a smile on his face. "After all, I am with you, Emile." He said as he entered Emile's room. He took off his sunglasses and hung them on his shirt. Remy didn't often take them off, but whenever he was alone with Emile he would.

"That's so sweet, Mocha." Emile said, taking Remy's hand. "C'mon, I got my laptop set up for movies!" Emile said excitedly, sitting on his bed. Remy smiled and sat next to him, putting his arm around him. Emile rested his head on Remy's shoulder before putting his laptop on their laps.

"What movie are we watching?"

"Any movie that you want, darling." Emile said as he scrolled through the movies. Remy pointed at the screen.

"That one." He said, pointing to The Princess Bride. Emile smiled and he clicked on the movie.

"As you wish, angel." He said.

Remy often liked watching The Princess Bride with Emile. Every time the characters would kiss, he'd kiss Emile. It was like his own little excuse, not that he needed one.

"Why do you like this movie so much, sweetie?" Emile asked, about half-way through. They were just watching without talking, enjoying each others company. They just liked to be together.

"It was the first movie we watched together. There's good memories attached to this movie because of you. It's wonderful." Remy said. Emile had a small, loving smile on his face.

"I love you,  Mocha." Emile said before kissing Remy's cheek.

"I love you too, Emile." Remy said, kissing Emile's cheek. Emile huffed angrily out of his nose. "What's wrong, Emile?"

"I... why do you always call me by my name?" Emile confronted. His voice was on the line between sad and upset.

"What do you mean?"

"You call everyone else by nicknames. Logan, Patton, Roman, Virgil, everyone! Except... for me. Why? I'm your boyfriend, out of everyone, why am I the only one you don't call by nicknames? I have literally never heard you call me by a nickname." He said. Remy sighed, but with a smile.

"Emile, why would I call you by a nickname when I could call you by your real name?" Remy asked. Emile rolled his eyes.

"You realise that applies to everyone, right? Why don't you ever call me by anything but my name?" Emile asked. Remy held Emile's hands, smiling sweetly.

"Emile, I call you by your name because I love your name. Because it's your name." Remy said, his voice filled with sincere love. Emile certainly didn't expect that answer, not that he didn't like it.

"O-Oh. S-Sorry, for making kind of a big deal out of this." Remy moved his thumbs over Emile's knuckles softly.

"It's alright, Emile. If you would like me to, I will call you some things. Is that what you want... Emmy?" He asked, drawing a small smile over Emile's face.

"I'd like that. But you should call me what you want to call me, Remy." Remy nodded before kissing his boyfriend gently.

"I love you, Emile."

"I love you too, Remy."

AN- This one was shorter than usual, but I hope that you enjoyed it anyway. Needed some fluffier stuff after that last one.
