"Patton!" Nora, the PTA President said as she approached Patton. They hugged friendily.

"Nora! It's wonderful to see you again!" He said cheerfully. They pulled away. "How's Dominic?"

"He's well, his asthma has gone down."

"Well, that's wonderful!" Karen looked at the two.

"Oh, are you to married?" She asked. Patton and Nora laughed.

"No, no. My husband is at home, watching baby Carmen." Nora said. Karen nodded.

"What about you..." Karen trailed off, not knowing Patton's name.

"Patton."

"Right. Where's your wife?" Patton giggles slightly.

"At work."

"It's 7 pm. Where does she work?" Karen asked.

"The police department. They're a little short tonight." Patton explained. Karen nodded and walked off.

"Logan should join us sometimes. I think his point of view would be interesting." Nora said. Patton nodded.

"Are you talking about the fact that he's factual and intelligent?" Nora nodded with a small laugh. Patton let his smile shine through. "I'll talk to him about it, I'm sure he'd make the time."

"Hey, Nora wants us to attend the PTA meeting. She thought it'd be a good idea for both of us to go, most parents do." Patton said. Logan nodded.

"Does Virgil come?" Logan asked. Usually Patton attended by himself.

"He's allowed, do you want to bring him?"

"We could have Remy watch over him in the halls." Patton nodded in agreement.

"Yeah, we could do that." Patton agreed.

"What time and date?"

"Friday, 7 pm."

Friday, 7 pm.

"Papa, Dad are you sure that this is a good idea? What if they make fun of you?" Virgil asked. He's 14 and cares greatly for his dads.

"We've gotten through homophobia before. As long as your papa and I have each other, we'll be fine." Logan said.

"Awe, Lo!" Patton cooed.

"Guys, stop being gross."  Remy said, playing on his phone.

"Rem, you're 23, get over yourself."

Patton and Logan walked in, Logan's hands shoved in his pockets. Virgil and his uncle immediately went to the hallway. Logan and Patton offered to let Virgil and Remy stay home, but Virgil was afraid.

Karen approached Logan and Patton.

"Hello Patton." She said. Her eyes scanned Logan,  filling Patton's stomach with jealousy and anxiety. "And you." She said, her voice... not entirely school appropriate.

"Hey Karen," He said. "This is Logan." He said, his voice tense.

"Are you alright?" Logan asked Patton.
