EDIT AT BOTTOM

Roman had his hood thoroughly pulled over his face so that the villagers couldn't see his face as he entered Virgil's house. They had been dating for at least 5 months now, meeting up in the forest at the very bare minimum twice a week. And they went to Virgil's house from time to time, like now.

"Goodbye, beautiful. I will miss you, my love, but I'm afraid I must attend to my duties." A male voice rang.

"Do you really have to go?" Patton said from the room.

"I'm sorry, but my job isn't the most flexible. I will see you tonight." The voice says again. "Goodbye, my beautiful Patton, my darling, my darling, my life and my love." He said. "I love you."

"I love you too, my great sweet genius," Patton responded. Virgil and Roman entered the room.

"What the-"

"Logan?" Roman asked. He took off his hood.

"Roman... What are you doing here?" Logan asked. Logan was Roman's royal adviser. They were basically each other's only friends. Logan held Patton closely by his hand.

"I was here to spend time with, um, Virgil. What are you doing here?" Roman asked.

"This is my boyfriend. Patton Hart. We've been dating for..." Logan mumbled something.

"4 years." Patton finished.

"Jesus! How hadn't I known about this! I've lived here forever!" Virgil exclaimed.

"The kingdom would prefer I marry in a higher class because I am well associated with the royal family. Therefore we had to keep our true love a secret. Please do not tell them, we truly believe we belong together." Logan said, now holding Patton's waist.

"Yes. Your majesty, I know that I am only a simple peasant-baker. But Logan makes me so, so happy. And I believe that I make him happy, please, let us stay together." Patton begged. Roman smiled.

"Of course. But in return, I ask a favour of my royal adviser." Roman said, formerly.

"Of course, Roman."

"I would like to pursue a relationship with Virgil. If you could, help me keep it a secret from my parents."

Now, this kingdom had an open door policy. Anyone who wanted to, who either passed the guards or had permission from the royals could visit the king, queen, prince, or anyone in the castle.

"Prince Roman. You have visitors." Roman sighed. He often got visitors from 16-year-old fangirls. His favourite visitor was a 6-year-old girl who was inspired by how kind Roman was. "Virgil Storm, age 20, and Patton Foster, age 19." Roman was taken back, in a good way. Virgil had come to visit him.

"Yes, let them in. Have them go through I.D, they have a pass to visit me." Roman said. Almost 10 minutes later, Virgil and Patton walked through the door.

"That was so weird. Did that guy search your bag and pockets?" Virgil asked.

"Yeah, that was weird." Patton shuddered. "That girl was flirting with me. It was weird." Roman smiled at the sight of Virgil.

"Virgil, Patton. What do I hold the honour of seeing you?" Virgil giggled.

"Are they making you say that?"

"Yes. How are you guys?" Roman asked, hugging Virgil. Loose dirt rubbed off a bit from Virgil's clothes onto Roman's white clothes, but he didn't care.
