Isang katok ang gumising kay Coreen mula sa pagkakatulog. She just took a nap after managing the plans for the events for next week.

"Come in." She hoarsely said at kaagad inayos ang sarili.

"Surprise!"

Agad naman siyang nagulat ng makita kung sino ang bisita niya.

"Irene!" Masayang bulalas nito.

"Cory babes long time no see!" Sigaw ng ginang na kakarating.

Agad siyang tumayo at binati ang kaibigan ng isang mahigpit na yakap.

"Irene! Long time no see, namiss kita."

"Yeah me too, I haven't seen you since our reunion last year."

"I've been busy babysitting these brats here, including yours." Ani ni Coreen.

Nagtawanan naman sila.

"Let's shop sometimes. I miss our bonding, I love your taste in fashion, ang boring maglakwatsya mag-isa you know!"

Tinawanan lang siya ni Coreen.

"What do you want, coffee, water or juice?" Alok nito.

"Coffee please." Sagot naman ni Irene at umupo sa sofa sa gitna ng silid.

Coreen immediately went to the coffee maker and brewed her coffee. "You should've called ahead of time para makapaghanda man lang ako."

"Oh it's okay, I also came here for another reason actually." Ani ni Irene.

"What do you mean?" Tanong ni Coreen sabay bigay sa kape nito at umupo sa harap nito.

"Well, you know, a girl I'm in debt with is studying here and..." Putol nito na parang nag-aalangan. "I would like to ask you a favor to treat her...like you know..." She purposely cut of her sentence pero agad naman itong nakuha ni Coreen.

"Irene, mahirap yan. Fair treatment is encouraged in this institution. I'm really sorry."

Pinagdaop ni Irene ang dalawang palad niya sa isa't isa. "Please, minsan lang akong humingi ng pabor sa iyo, I just want her to have an easy life in this school." Kumbinsi nito sa kaibigan.

"I'll think about it, you know we can't just do that."

Nanatiling pursigido ang ginang.

"I'm one of the major contributors of this school, I hope you can at least do me a favor just this once. You know I'm not fond of using this means to get what I want, but can you please do it?"

Nanatiling tahimik si Coreen kaya lumapit naman ang ginang sa kanya.

"Look Cory, I seldom ask favors,I really like this kid, she saved my sons and this is the least I could do to repay her, so pretty pleaseeee!"

"Fine, fine. You know I can't stand you and your persistence. It's annoyingly effective." Walang nagawa si Coreen kundi mapabuntong hininga.

"Yey! Don't worry I'll treat you to a fancy french cuisine restaurant." Excited na sambit ng ginang.

"It sounds like you're bribing me. You're still as childish as ever kahit may anak ka na. Oh and by the way, you're pampering that girl too much hindi ba magseselos ang anak mo?" Tanong ni Coree. Sa kanya.

"Oh don't worry, he's been spoiled enough, and speaking of, what's with you? Lampas ka na sa kalendaryo and you still haven't settled down yet and have kids. "

"Hahaha ikaw talaga. We rarely see each other you always put this topic on the table. Cut it out already." Biglang nag-iba ang tono ni Coreen but the woman failed to catch on.
