Katniss' POV

"Hello?" I ask as I walk through the front door, closing it behind me.

"Hey. In the kitchen!" I hear Peeta exclaim and I smile.

I sit my game bag beside me and slide off my fathers jacket. Placing it on the rack, I pick up my game bag again and stroll into the kitchen. My eyes soon meet my son and husband baking. I smile wider and walk up to Peeta. He looks up and follows my path with his head.

"How was hunting today?" He asks me before we share a kiss.

"Alright I guess. I'm going to have to stop hunting altogether soon. I don't have all the skills I had when I was Rye's age anymore." I reply and hang my game bag on the back of the kitchen chair.

"That's not good. Did you catch anything?" Peeta asks again.

"A couple of squirrels." I simply reply and sit down. "What are my favourite guys making?" I say to change the subject.

"Dad and I are making cheese buns for you Mum!" My 13 year old son exclaims.

"Rye! It was supposed to be a surprise!" Peeta complains and I laugh. They laugh as well, making the cheese buns as they go.

Rye is a mini baker Peeta and I love him so much because of it. He always tries to get every opportunity Peeta could give him.

I smile and watch as my husbands and sons hands move around the kitchen bench, getting covered in flour every second.

In no time al all, a tray of cheese buns is placed into the oven by Peeta. Peeta claps his hands together, sending loose flour flying to the ground. I chuckle as he watches grains fall to the ground.

Rye leaves the kitchen after cleaning up and heads upstairs.

Leaving Peeta and I in here.

"What are you chuckling about?" Peeta asks me curiously. I snap out of my trance and turn my head towards him. I watch as he pulls up a chair to lean against mine and faces with his chest to the back of the chair.

"Nothing." I reply and Peeta holds my cheeks in his hands. He leans forward and I close my eyes, knowing what he is to do.

When I expect to feel his lips against mine, I don't. I open my eyes confused and shriek at how close his eyes were to me.

"Peeta!" I whine and pout at him. I playfully smack his arm and Peeta chuckles.

To make him stop, I smash my lips quickly against his. I push him back as we continue kissing. I stand up and cup Peeta's cheek. I close my eyes, enjoying this all until we're interrupted by the phone.

"PHONE!" Rye shouts to us ad I roll my eyes as I hear him shout.

"Typical." Peeta mutters and walks out to answer it. I sigh and wait for him to come back.

When I see him come back I hug him. "Ever thought about more kids?" Peeta asks and I gasp.

"Peeta. I just turned 50 and I distinctly remember when I was pushing Rye out of me that I told you we were to not have any more kids." I sternly remind Peeta. "I love you Peeta but no. I've been through the pain twice. That's enough times." I add.

I turn and lean my back on Peeta's chest. Peeta's arms wrap around my waist and I rest my hands against his. We smile and Peeta kisses my head before speaking.

"I remember. You were so beautiful even through all that pain Rye was causing you." I blush and bury my head into Peeta's shoulder. "You still look stunning after all these years and always will." My cheeks heat up and turn more red at his added comment.

What Peeta can do to my emotions is incredible and I love him for it.
