Sorry for such a late update!

Peeta's POV

"Hey buddy! Want to give grandpa a high five?" I ask my 6 year old grandson with my arm in the air. He smiles and slaps my hand with his. I cheer in achievement and kiss his cheek.

We have 3 amazing grandchildren. Willow and Ryan still have only Holly. 6 years ago Rye and Lily introduced Ivy Jade Mellark and Conner Lewis Mellark. Both adorable twin siblibgs. Well, all our granchildren are adorable.

Conner gets down from my laps and joins his twin sister by the christmas tree.

"Holly, how about you go and give everyone a chirstmas present that's for them under the tree." Willow suggests and Holly smiles widely and nods. She sits up from her position on the floor and walks over to the tree, picking up a small gift in two hands.

"To Grandma from Mummy and Daddy." She says and skips over to us with the wrpped gift in her hands. She places it on Katniss' lap and smiles.

"Thank you Holly." Katniss thanks and kisses Holly's head. Holly chuckles before heading back to the tree to deliver another present. I wrap my arm more around Katniss' back as she begins opening the gift from Willow and Ryan.

Her hands work carefully as she unwraps it, not wanting to rip the paper. I lean my head slight against Katniss' as she continues to expose the gift underneath the paper.

"Thanks for the gift Mum and Dad." I look up and see Rye looking at us. I smile and answer back.

"No problem son." I hear Katniss gasp and I look down at her. Seeing her with a hand covering her mouth and tears threatening to tell I know she has been touched by the gift. I look further down to see what was her gift and my mouth slightly drops open.

Just by looking at it, I can tell it was by Willow. In front of my eyes is something so beautiful that I can't believe my Willow Mellark created. In sketch form, A copy of Katniss, a 4 year old Holly and I. I smile, remembering the moment that photo was taken.

I bury my head more into Katniss' hair and she interlaces her fingers in my free ones.

"Gwandpa?" I recognise my grandson Conner say and I lift my head up. I see Conner with a gift in his hands and he extends it towards me. I take it from his hands and place it on my lap.

"Thanks bud!" I thank and ruffle his hair. Conner shyly smiles and runs back to Rye. I watch as he climbs onto Rye's lap and hugs him. Rye smiles and mouths sorry to me. I mouth back saying it's okay, knowing he isn't much of a talker.

I open my gift from Conner and Ivy to find a canvas with a drawing of both of them plus Katniss and I. It's a drawing from 6 year olds so I wasn't expecting anything really fancy, but it's really cute.

"Kat. Kat look." I murmur into Katniss ear and Katniss turns to look at what lies in my hands.

"Awww." She exclaims and slips it from my hands into hers. She examines it in more detail.

"Thank you Ivy and Conner." I thank and Ivy comes to hug me.

"I love you Grandpa!" Ivy exclaims and I smile.

"I love you too." Ivy giggles and goes back to her pony stuffed toy we got for her. Katniss side hugs me and we share a quick kiss.

"Merry Christmas Peeta." Katniss whispers, enough for me to hear just fine.

"Merry Christmas Kat. I love you." I reply and kiss her cheek. Holding onto the moment like it was our last.
