"keef" Five year old Katie smiled brightly as she ran towards him.

"hey Katie, ready for school" Eight year old Keith asked with a soft smile and held his hand out letting pidge hold it with her small hand.

"yep becuase Keef will be there, Keef is always there when i need him" Katie cheered making Keith laugh as they walked.

He always walked Katie to school in the mornings and walked her home or well to the street corner since he lived straight down one road and Katie the other. At first he wasn't glad at his mother telling him he will be walking a younger girl to school but Keith became very attach to Katie and was always by her side even during her breaks since she was always alone and got pick on for being so smart or small. 

"i always be by your side Katie and i would give you the whole world one day" Keith smiled proudly as he glanced to the younger child.

"i dont need the whole world, i only need Keef" Katie grinned and skipped a little. 

Four Years Later ...

"Keith, when i grow up will you still be beside me forever" A Nine year old Katie asked with worry.

"sure i will, i promised not to leave your side remember" A twelve year old Keith grinned. 

"then can i marry you Keith" Katie asked with a sweet smile.

"sure, when we get older we marry each other and stay together forever" Keith smiled brightly and Katie hugged him as they sat on the grass while their mothers chat away doing shopping. 

"forever" Katie cheered and hugged Keith.

"i give you the whole world one day Katie, just wait for me" Keith smiled softly and hugged Katie back.

Two Years Later ..

"if you were my husband i would poison your coffee" A Eleven Katie frowned as she glared at Keith.

"if you were my wife, i would drink it" A fifth teen Keith grumbled back.

"why do you even bother to come over anymore" Katie sighed and glanced to Keith.

"i was forced to come, i dont want to be here" Keith growled back and crossed his arms.

"then leave, i dont care" Katie hissed back and slammed her bedroom door shut on him.

"why did i ever want to give you the whole world, i rather give it away to someone better" Keith yelled back before storming off. 

Five Years Later ...

"Katie" A twenty Year old Keith muttered surprised to see her as he was walking home with his friends after they went out for a beer. 

"Keith" Katie smiled softly and hugged him.

"oh god, sorry about her .. Lance dropped a bomb on her" James frowned as he pulled Katie off.

"a bomb" Shiro one of Keith friends asked slightly worried.

"a fake one but i was messing around in the Halloween area and well it slipped from my hands and onto Pidge head" Lance nervously grinned and helped James pull Katie away from Keith.

"will she be ok" Keith asked with worry as Katie did grabby hands to him. 

"yeah, the doctor said she be find and gave her some really strong pain killer making her a little" James started to say with a small smile and Shiro helped.

"drunk" Shiro finished the sentence and James nodded.

"we get her home, before she does anything bad" Lance smiled and Keith glanced to a pouting Katie.

"i take her home, I'm going home myself and well its not the first time i would need to walk her home" Keith sighed and Katie smiled brightly.

"Keef" Katie cheered and hugged him again.

"yes its me, legs get you home Katie before your parents worry" Keith smiled shocking his friends.

"no, i want to stay with Keef .. he broke his promise" Katie pouted like a child.

"promise" Keith asked.

"you promised to stay with me forever but you didnt. You left" Katie cried shocking her own friends.

"i promised to give you the whole world too back then" Keith smirked and picked Katie up.

"i dont need the world, i only need Keith" Katie whispered and rested her head on his shoulder.

"then i wont leave ever again, i make sure to keep my promise Katie" Keith smiled softly.

"thank you keef" Katie whispered with a warm smile before dozing off as he walked.
