"where is my son" The queen asked in a panic as the visiting royal family should be arriving any second and her son wasn't in sight. 

"we go look for him my queen" Shiro smiled and looked to Keith who nodded since they already had a feeling where he might be. 

"we bring him straight to the castle entrance" Keith replied before slowly walking out the room until the queen couldn't see them anymore and ran to the gardens. 

They reached the old small garden only a certain two really use all year round. They stood on the edge of the hall, stopping before the path that lead to the garden as they knew where the prince was hiding. The stepped onto the path trying to be silent knowing the prince might panic if he heard footsteps. They stopped as  they reached the end of the path looking to an old tree where two teens sat under. 

A soft smile sat on the prince lips as he sat leaning on the tree and looking to the sky. Pidge sitting beside him with her head leaning on his arm as she slept. Her hand joined with Lance as she slept with a sweet smile on her lips. She was at peace, something rare to see on her face as she worked as a maid in the castle. 

The knights took a deep breath and smiled to each other before Keith whistle letting Lance know they were there. They chuckled as Lance jumped and quickly turned to check he didnt wake pidge before looking for the knights. He waved them over and they made their way over.

"the guest will arrive soon, the queen is waiting for you at the front of the castle" Shiro spoke with a kind smile.

"is it that time already, Sorry we didnt mean to be so long it was just so pretty here" Lance mumbled back as he looked to the knights.

"no worries, we should have looked for you sooner when we notice you didnt show up. Now you need to go before the royals do arrive" Keith replied and Lance nodded, he glanced to pidge not wanting to wake her.

"Pidgin" He whispered and pushed some of the hair behind her ear, watching her stir before slowly opening her eyes. 

"sorry did i fall asleep" Pidge asked sleepily and rubbed her eyes noticing her glasses missing.

"here" Lance smiled gently as he passed her glasses.

"thanks" Pidge smiled softly. 

"sorry pidge but the prince must go" Shiro spoke in a clam tone and pidge turned to them as she placed the glasses on.

"how late is he" Pidge asked as she stood up with the prince.

"very" Keith replied.

"you idiot, get running before i kick you" Pidge yelled slapping Lance arm. 

"yes miss" Lance joked before running.

"you two go as well" Pidge order and the two knights nodded before running after the prince. 

Lance ran to the front of the castle running up the small steps before standing beside his unimpressed mother. Keith and Shiro stood in their spots as the knights assigned to protect Lance.
