Rebels - Part 2 - Kidge.

"hey" Pidge grinned as she popped up behind Keith while he took a break from training. Its been a year since he joined the voltron rebels and he got use to pidge popping up and just vanishing all the time. It didnt make him jump as much and he felt calmer with pidge, they had a good bond.

Well their bond got stronger after Keith went to check on pidge after a harsh ambush and walked in when she didnt have a top on. He soon found out he was actually a she. She had bandages around her breasts so he didnt see them but he knew what was behind the bandages by the shape. Shiro nearly killed him and made him promise to keep her secret. 

"hi" Keith smiled slightly as he glanced to her.

"finished training" Pidge asked with a bright smile and held her hands behind her back.

"yep unless you wish to fight me" Keith smirked and Pidge giggled.

"no thanks, i chose life" Pidge teased back and hopped back while Keith chuckled.

"so, what brings you to me" Keith asked as he turned to her now he cool down from his training.

"i was just pranking Lance and on my way back i notice you, so i thought i come say hey" Pidge replied with a sweet smile.

"pranked Lance .. again" Keith asked with a slight smirk.

"yep, he fell into the small fish pond" Pidge grinned and the two soon laughed.

"PIDGIN" lance voice echoed the caves.

"well, i better get back to planning the next save" Pidge smiled and walked towards the door.

"enjoy" Keith called back as she walked away like a normal person for once.

Keith headed to the wash room since he was covered in sweat and didnt enjoy the feeling. He walked in noticing a couple other members in the cave was washing as well and just walked over to a clear area to wash. Each area had a slight cave wall giving anyone stalls as they watched so they didnt have to see each other as they washed. Once Keith was fully washed and felt clean he walked back to his room in nothing but his towel, he dropped his sweaty clothes of to the  group that wash the clothes for all the cave before reaching his room. He was in the middle of changing, well he had to do was put his top on when someone lifted up the blanket used as a door for each cave room was lifted.

Pidge froze in her tracks as she stared at a shirtless Keith. A blush forming on her cheeks as her eyes scanned his body. He un-tensed slightly as he notice it was pidge but a blush still covered his cheeks. He knew pidge was a girl now and well it was a little shocking for them both. 

"s-sorry" Pidge mutter with a bright red face and ran out as he stood stunned. He soon placed his top on and left to go find her, he knew she would be in her room since it was only next door. He pushed on the blanket to warn her he was going to enter before pulling it to the side letting him walk past. 

"Pidge" Keith called as he looked around her messy small cave room. It was clear she was the brains by all the paper and books scattered around her room. He bed was the only true clean area in her room. 

"sorry, i should have shook the blanket to warn you i was going to enter" Pidge mumbled as she popped up behind him making him jump a little.

"its ok pidge, Its not like you saw anything too un-decent and well i guess we even now" Keith replied rubbing his neck.

"y-yeah" Pidge mutter still red in the face.

"anyway, did you need me when you came to my room" Keith asked trying to move on from the embarrassing moment. 

"shiro wants us all" Pidge replied and Keith nodded.

"lets go before he kills us both" Keith joked and they walked towards one of the meeting rooms. 

They walked into the meeting room seeing the other three all talking and the two was thankful their faces had gone back to their normal pale colour. They stood around the table and Shiro started telling them about some rumours he heard. They listened and wonder about a plan to use. It seemed someone with a great mind was imprisoned by the king and was threaten to help the king. Shiro heard this man had a great mind and yes they had pidge but they thought that maybe he could help them. Even if he just helped the families inside the cave, shiro wanted to give the guy a chance. 

The others agreed and shiro told pidge any information he had from theses rumours while she made up a plan for them to use. She would prefer a lot more info then shiro could give but she came up with a safe plan they could use to rescue the guy. All they needed to do was a pick a date and go save him or die trying. 

Pidge talked with shiro like normal as everyone else walked back to their rooms ready to sleep for a week since they knew this would be one of their most dangerous saves so far. They knew the castle was the most dangerous and if the king spotted them then not all of them would return. It was a risk but if shiro right about this guy then they needed to get him away from king zarkon before he helped the king gain more power. 

Keith was going to walk back to his room but he decided he wait for pidge and stood outside waiting. 

"shiro, I need to take leave after this save. I want to visit Matt" Pidge spoke in a desperate voice.

"Katie its too dangerous, what if someone notice your his sister. He got a child and a wife when we last saw him. We shouldn't risk their lives just for you to check on him" Shiro frowned.

"i know but i have a bad feeling, i just need to check on him and I'll stay hidden from anyone eyes" Pidge replied not giving up.

"fine but after this save and your not going alone. I'll come with you, he was my friend too and i dont want you facing this alone" Shiro smiled and patted her shoulder.

"thanks" Pidge sweetly smiled and left the room but Keith wasn't in sight.

Keith decided it was best to walk off before he was seen since he knew pidge past was important and hid many secretes. He walked away making sure she didnt have to worry about anyone finding clues on who she really was. But now Keith knew her real name.

 

Morning came and the five left towards the castle, they would break in at night since the darkness would give them cover and the guards would be slightly tired while mostly guarding the area the king used. They all made camp in the woods beside the castle and caught up on some extra sleep knowing it was going to be a long night.
