When the paladins and three alteans landed on earth once the galra fighter ship crashed, she didnt have time to notice as many small details she could. So when two jeeps pulled up yelling at them all to get in she didnt care to look at their faces as they all jumped in. She notice the driver she was placed in to look a lot like Lance and by Lance face she could tell they were siblings who just had an deadly meet up. 

Everyone stepped out of the two jeeps once they made it back to base where is seemed families and soldiers all stood waiting to meet the voltron paladins. Tears ran down the paladins eyes as they were back on earth and back home with the ones they cared for. Shiro ran over to his husband Adam, hugging him like there was no tomorrow. Keith was pulled into a family hug from the holts since he was dating their older son who was still stuck in space. Hunk ran over to his family, hugging them like he was going to lose them. Lance crying as his family all ran over hugging him. Coran, Allura and Romelle stood with sweet smiles at seeing the paladins with their love ones and did a small hug while they watched.

Pidge not wanting to be the first to cry out of her and her parents even if Keith was already a sobbing mess from the family hug. Pidge looked at her father eyes while her mother stayed a sobbing mess and still hugging Keith. Pidge wasn't going to cry first, she had too much pride to return as a sobbing mess and knew her father would break. He did as he wrapped his arms around her and then she cried too, her mother joining the hug and pulling Keith to join while he stood back watching. 

The paladins stood back from their families still slightly tearful and stood before the crowd. 

"we not gonna tell the Blades about this right" Keith asked as he wipe his tears.

"i wont tell anyone if you dont man" Lance sobbed making the crowd cry.

"i never thought i would cry some much, we face the galra and death so often yet now we cry" Shiro joked as weakly smiled.

"we must really be ruining image right now" Hunk mumbled and the five laughed.

"yeah you cry-babies" Pidge sniffled and they all laughed once move. 

"We over look this paladins, you did just return to your loved ones after three years and well you deserve to finally shed some tears" Allura smiled sweetly.

"yeah even we crying for you" Coran cried.

"dont look at us" Romelle sobbed as she hugged coran since they were a crying mess.

"can you stop crying, we just stopped" Hunk cried and hugged Lance making him yelp slightly. 

"guys the galra .. we need to fight" Keith sniffled and turned away from the sobbing mess.

"yeah we can cry after we win this war" Shiro mutter as he glanced away from those who were crying.

"we gonna cry again .. aren't we" Lance sobbed.

"after we win" Pidge replied and fanned her eyes. 

"welcome home" Iverson smiled and the humans all cried at being welcome home by Iverson .. IVERSON.

"oh man, why did you need to do that to us" Lance cried and hugged Hunk.

"that not cool man" Keith sobbed and hugged shiro.

"such a dirty move" Shiro sniffled. 

"we were trying to be strong" Hunk cried.

"sorry" Iverson frowned.

"hey Iverson, Veronica and whoever was driving the guys already told us what happened but um do you know if" Pidge started to ask as her nerves and worry started to kick in.

"we have a wall of the dead, if your worried about someone then go look or you can just give me a name and I'll look them up" Iverson replied and Pidge took a deep breath. 

"wait who are you after miss undercover soldier" Lance asked as he turned to his shorter friend.

"oh um no one really just someone" Pidge mutter with a slight blush.

"oh she blushing .. she got her eye on someone" Hunk teased and Pidge face grew redder.

"what me, a love life .. no way" Pidge awkwardly mutter back.

"well if she was acting as a guy during her times in the garrison then this guy would know her gender secret meaning he would know you from how you look now" Shiro mumbled as he crossed his arms.

"so gonna tell us or do we need to keep teasing you" Keith smirked and crossed his own arms.

"not telling until i find them and kiss them" Pidge huffed back.

"oh kiss him" Keith smirked and leaned forward.

"oh shut it, you were doing more then kissing with my brother on the castle .. let me have this or I'm telling my parents" Pidge smirked back before running over leaving a blushing Keith and shocked paladins who turned to Keith.

Pidge ran down the halls of the garrison that was just like it was when they left earth. She knew where the memorable hall was since its always been in a certain area inside the garrison and names get added on as the years pass. She ran and stopped and found the starting date from three years ago. She knew it wouldn't be in order since they add it after they die. She looked at the names over and over before tears of joy.

He wasn't dead, he was still Alive. 

She felt hands land on her hips and even if they grown older she still knew it was his. His warmth from his bigger hands and the calming vibe he gives when touching her. She smiled softly before turning around to face him.

His brown eyes shining at he looked at her with love.

His brown hair slightly longer but still as fluffy as she remembered.

His gentle smile still making her heart felt. 

"i missed you" he whispered as he looked into her hazel eyes.

"i missed you, I thought i might never see you again or if i did return you might not be waiting for me anymore" She sniffled and his eyes sadden.

"i promised to wait for you, my love will never die for you" He smiled sweetly and she gave a soft smile in return.

"i love you" She mutter with a warm smile and wrapped her arms around his neck.

"i love you Katie" he spoke before pulling her into a deep loving kiss, they both felt the hunger of not having the other for three years.
