"Hey" she smiled brightly as she sat down next to him.

"hi" he mutter as he glanced to her.

"another fight with the team" She asked with worry and he nodded.

"i snapped at Shiro and the others when they wanted to stop" he started to say before stopping himself and turning to her with Pained eyes.

"stop" she asked confused.

"You" he whispered with tears in his eyes.

"Keith, Look at me" She smiled sweetly as she reached her hand to his hand only for her hand to glitch by his cheek. 

"i cant lose you again" He mutter as his eyes filled with pain.

"I'm just a hologram, I will never grow old while you and the others would. One day this war will end and the castle wouldn't be needed ever again meaning i would be ship off with them. I will be forgotten as time pass's on but you have a chance to live" She smiled softly as she looked into his eyes.

"I love you Katie" he whispered as tears feel from his eyes.

"i will always love you Keith" She smiled warmly before standing up.

"please" He mutter with pleading eyes.

"be free Keith, for me be free and live a life full of peace and Joy" She smiled and looked to him as he cried.

"how can i live without you" He cried and reached for her only for his hand to go through her. 

"I'm sorry" She gently smiled before her she turned her own power off, making it easier for him to walk away. 

"Katie, i will always love you" He whispered with a warm smile and tears falling from his eyes .

It was a simple mistake, the green lion fell into a trap as the lions split up to check a planet. Any one of them could have fallen into the trap but she was the one to die by the planet hands. Keith was the first to arrive at her side, he held her in his arms as she whispered her last words before dying. 

"remember, i will always love you" She whispered with a warm smile and tears falling from her eyes as her lover kissed her one last time. 

He flew straight back to the castle placing her in a pod, hoping she could live just a little longer. He wasn't ready to lose her, he couldn't lose her not yet. He begged Allura to work her magic by the princess wouldn't in fear of what Pidge might become. He cried by her cold limp body as the others gave him space and then he zapped her brain into the hologram. 

It worked, he had his love back and could see her once more. He could speak with her and he didnt need to let her go ever again. But the others didnt see the bright side of him having her as a hologram, they wanted to unplug her until the next paladins were chosen. She would become the next generation paladins guide and protector who flew the ship. But Keith wasn't ready to let her go again, he wanted to stay with her until his last breath. Everyone notice how Keith spent all his free time in the room speaking with her and knew it was time to turn her off until the next paladins arrived. But Keith heard their talk and locked himself in her room after snapping at them. 

Time flew back and the war was won. He never returned to earth and spent the last of his days in space before taking his last breath. He was joined with her once more in the afterlife. 

Years Passed and peace stayed for all planets until a new war broke out thousands of years Later. New paladins were chosen and bought to the castle of lion where their guide waited for them but she wasn't alone.

Her lover stood beside her looking as young as he did when she died. He held her hand with a soft smile as they stood in the middle of the control room to welcome the new paladins. 

Their love lasted forever and they stayed together until the end of voltron.
