She was in love with him

Each day her love grew 

She was lucky to call him as her lover

She would say boyfriend but they promised to marry and their love was stronger then just boyfriend or girlfriend. 

She smiled softly as he slept beside her, they were not married yet but they shared a small cabin. 

She loved her home and She loved the place she could belong too with him.

But her eyes sadden as she looked to the window seeing the sun slowly rise. 

She needed to leave his side and she wasn't sure if she would ever return. 

A war has started between their two countries, she knew her own country was in the wrong and needed to be stopped.

But 

She didnt want to leave 

But 

She knew she must, she already heard of rumours of the county attacked couples where one was from the county they at war with. She didnt want to bring harm towards her love by staying with him. 

She placed a loving kiss on his lips before getting ready for the long path before her. 

She cut her hair short and binded her chest before leaving for his county army base.

She would become a soldier and protect the county he called home but more importantly she would protect him and her place to belong. 

She knew not everyone would agree with her at first since she was from the enemy country.

But at least the army would just mess with her training or fight her while the people just lost control and showed no mercy. She couldn't let her lover face such fate. 

She trained and she was messed with but that just pushed her harder to gain their trust and help protect their county, no her home. She became a soldier and even made friends in her unit that lost numbers over the years only to be replaced by a new soldier just passed training.

Lance and Keith were the name of the two soldiers in her unit and Hunk a medic but he mostly stayed back and the other soldiers pulled the injured to his safe spot since we didnt have many medics left and they took longer to train then soldiers. We had to protect medics more then we had to protect ourselves. 

The three males even learned my true gender and i didnt need to bind myself anymore since no one else gave a ship in the middle of a war over my gender. I proved my strength and trust to them and that all they needed. I kept my hair short since long hair and war never end well. 

We were winning, we just had to keep pushing on. 

But war was something no one should ever see in their life.

It wasn't beautiful yet it was beautiful since you made new families with other soldiers and the bond you grow together is something rare. 

But death was all around them and it was horrible since any second they could be the ones dead on the ground be ran over.
