She walked down the castle halls, she knew everyone would be asleep by now but she had work to do. She needed to finish uncording the galra date she stole from today mission. More importantly she needed to finish building a side vires she feared she might need soon. 

Her small footsteps echo the halls as she walked, a small hum escaping her lips as she distracted herself from how spooky the castle can be at night when one is alone. 

"Pidge" A cold but slightly gentle voice called out to her making her stop in her steps.

"please dont" She mutter and started to walk once again.

"Pidge" He called again as she heard his footsteps getting closer.

"dont call my name" She whispered and she stopped in her steps once more.

"Katie" He whispered in a gentle smooth voice, calling her like he was god and she was his angle. 

She knew he was standing behind her. His hand held out towards her as his eyes knew she would come to him. She took a deep breath before turning around, placing her hand in his. Letting him lead her away down the dark halls.

Those were the days she wished they could return too. The days when she knew something was coming and had a bad feeling but pushed away each time he called for her. 

Now everything had changed and the truth was told. The truth of shiro not being shiro but a clone. Something she knew from the day he returned to them and yet she fell in love with the clone. 

She fell in love with Kuro. 

An enemy to voltron and an enemy to the paladins for tricking them and trying to kill them. 

He turned on them and she watched before using her virus she already made when she knew he wasn't the real shiro. After all, she knew shiro and she felt he was a different man. A man she learned to love as they grew close without knowing it. 

But the first night after he left she walked the long dark halls once again. Her footsteps echo in the hall and she knew everyone else was awake, their minds thinking over the betrayal from Kuro. 

"please dont" As she looked to the man who stood before her in the hall.

"Pidge" he spoke as he looked into her hazel eyes. 

"please dont call my name" She pleaded as she looked into his cold but gentle grey eyes. She knew he could break down all her walls and make her come running to him without a care he just tried killing her friends a couple hours ago.

"Katie" he smiled softly as he lifted his hand out to her once more. 

"i hate you" She mutter as she ran forward wrapping her arms around him as she buried her face into his chest letting her tears fall.

"no you love me" he whispered as he wrapped his arm around her.

"i do love you" She sobbed and felt his grip tighten.

"just like i love you" He warmly smiled lifting her face placing a sweet kiss on her lips. 

"that's no fair" She sniffled making him chuckle.

"i know" he smiled slightly.

"why couldn't you just stay with us" She asked as he frowned.

"why cant you come with me" He replied and she frowned.

"we both know the answer" She mutter and he nodded.

"i promise to find you when this war is over, please wait for me Katie" He pleaded.

"please dont call my name, you know i cant fight back when you do" She pouted making him smirk.

"i will return Katie" He whispered stealing another kiss before walking away.
