She had scars on her stomach 

She had scars on her sides

She had scars in her heart. 

War left her with nothing but scars...

She could handle her injures from battle

She could handle the pain from the battle

She could handle the burden from battle

She could handle her scars from battles

But she couldn't handle her deepest scar

She loved his gentle grey eyes

She loved his wonderful smile

She loved his safe arms

She loved his handsome face

She loved his catching laugh

She loved his soft hair

She loves him

But the last battle she lost him

He protected her from the blast

He smiled warmly as he told her he loves her

He eyes filled with love and tears as he saw her one last time

His blood covering her armour as she held him

His bloody hand rested on her cheek while she cried

He told her sorry as she pleased for him to stay

He died with empty promise

She lost the only man she truly ever loved

He was her deepest scar and it wouldn't stop hurting

Painful tears left her eyes every night 

Screams left her mouth after every day

She was breaking over one scar

The team pulled her from his cold limp body

The team left his body as the ship blew

The team left her alone as they flew to earth

The team kept living on like he didnt matter

One scar was destroying her

One scar was haunting her

One scar took everything 

One scar was killing her

Time kept flying past

She grew

She became older

But she carried the same scar

She became a teacher 

She lived alone

She couldn't forget him

She couldn't move on

She kept her scars 

Death came

She wasn't scared

She was overjoyed 

She was waiting for the day to see him again

But as she walked on, she couldn't see him

She begged to see him one last time

But she never did

Even in death her scar grew
