Today's festival events was just a chilled, relaxing day for everyone as there was going to be lanterns at night for those who wanted to partake.

Since tomorrow was the first day of spring, the festival planners were in full work mode, stressing about getting everything ready before tomorrow came.

"That was nice of Kangjoon to let us be on our own. Hopefully, everyone else will be like that for the rest of the day" you stated before taking another bite of your candy floss that Jungkook bought for you.

"... who is he really to you?" The Zeus hero couldn't shake the thought of you possibly having a higher chance to be with Kangjoon than with himself. Just because I'm a hero? He thought.

"Who? Kangjoon? He's just a friend" you answered simply, not seeing the real reason why he had asked such a question.

Suddenly stopping, you turned to face the younger to see why he had halted like that.

"What is it?"

"Tell me, is he really nothing to you? What about Namjoon? Do you see him as a friend too? What about that red haired guy from before-" to shut him up, you embraced him into a tight hug, realising what was bothering him so much lately.

"Please have faith in me, Jungkook. Just like how I have faith in you" lies. Jungkook heard what you said. But he didn't believe a single word. He wanted to. But no matter how hard he tried, it only made his heart ache even more.

"Say it. Say that you love me" he whispered. Feeling as if it was second nature to you, you did as you were told without complaining.

"I love you, Jeon Jungkook"

"Say it again" he demanded while hugging you back.

"I love you" why isn't it working? He thought. Not even his own love life was going the way he wanted. Anything he loved would always get taken away from him; his dad, a normal child hood, powers that he would be able to call his own and now you.

"...Jungkook? You should talk to me about what you're thinking. You're not alone anymore-"

"Y/N!" Whipping both your heads to the direction of where the voice came from, you saw Namjoon running over to you with Taehyung following behind.

"I'm sorry Jungkook! I tried to keep him away as best as I could-"

"You're so dead Jungkook!" Scared for Jungkook's safety, you jumped in front of him and placed your arms to the side in order to try and stop the ice hero.

"Don't!" Sliding to a halt, Namjoon could only stare at you with wide eyes as he couldn't believe what he was seeing.

"Y/N? Why are you defending him? He manipulated you!"

"What are you talking about? Manipulated me to do what?" You asked inquisitively before dropping your arms to your sides once you realised that Namjoon wasn't going to harm the brunette behind you.

The Athena hero's eyes shot up towards Jungkook's as he tried to control his anger and not reach over to strangle him.

"...well? Are you going to tell me or-" all of a sudden, Namjoon quickly went past you and grabbed a guilty Jungkook by the shirt.

"You copied Hyori's power, didn't you?! You used it on her!" The copy hero could feel the older male's anger radiate off of him while letting him take control of the situation.

Averting his eyes, Jungkook didn't want to admit his actions as he knew it was the wrong thing to do but for once in his life, he had wanted something to go his way.

"Namjoon! Let go of him!" You demanded while trying to pull back the angered hero.

"Look at me and answer my question!" He yelled while holding the younger tighter, having had enough of waiting for the other to respond.

"... why should I? You don't own me and you don't own Y/N either!" Standing up for himself, Jungkook pushed Namjoon off of him before sending daggers with his brown eyes.

Beyond shocked, the blonde male used all his strength to stop himself from doing more harm than good to the younger.

"... Y/N, Jungkook copied Hyori's powers and is using it on you. He is deceiving you" Taehyung wanted to leave the awkward situation but as soon as Namjoon told you what happened, the blue haired hero decided to stay a little awhile to see how you would respond.

"... that's nonsense, Namjoon. I love him with all my heart-"

"Then when did you realise your feelings for him?" Your mouth opened to answer but no sound left your lips. When... did I fall for Jungkook?

"... I don't know but what I do know is that I trust him and he would never do that to me. Right, Jungkook?" You asked while turning to face the copy hero. He looked like he was having a hard time as he tried to avoid all eye contact, especially yours.

"...right?" Stopping his nervous antics, Jungkook finally looked at you with his solemn eyes before walking over to you and grabbing you close.

"... I'm sorry"

"Sorry? For wh-" your words were cut off by his soft lips on yours, shutting you up and removing the 'love spell'. Taehyung and Namjoon could only watch from the sidelines, knowing that Jungkook had accept his defeat and was facing reality.

After what felt like an eternity, your lips finally parted and your eyes fluttered open to see the man in front of you.

"I-... I'm so sorry" you could no longer feel the warmth in your heart that you once felt when you looked at the Zeus hero. Instead, a painful ache was in its place as you realised that everything you did with Jungkook- everything you felt was a lie.

"...I need to be alone" not caring if the others wanted to speak to you, you needed to gather your thoughts together and so you walked off in to the other direction.

Several feet away from everything that had just happened, stood Kangjoon with knowing smirk as he reached to turn on his ear piece.

"It didn't even last a day"
