The Sixers were in the locker room getting themselves ready for the game against the Detroit Pistons. Ally stood off to the side, folding towels for the team. Jaxon had her on towel duty today. She'd be dishing out towels to players during the game when needed.
The locker room was quite active today actually. They'd just come off a 6 game road trip that was quite successful. Four out of six wins was okay, it wasn't perfect.
Being that she's in the locker room, she was able to hear all of the locker room talk. Ranging from upcoming games to relationships. Per usual, boys will be boys.
"I've been talking to this girl named Jackie." Jimmy exclaimed, tying up his shorts. "Ooooo weee! Shorty is bad."
Ally rolled her eyes at that, listening to the rest of the guys chuckle.
"Looks like Jimmy found someone capable of holding him down." Tobias teased.
"Hell nah." Jimmy countered, throwing on his warm up suit. "I just need some entertainment for the time being, you know what I mean?"
Full of shit, Ally thought as she shook her head.
"What about you T?" Jimmy asked Tobias.
"As single as a Pringle." Tobias replied. "I'm focused on me right now."
"Nice." Jimmy nodded in approval. "Sometimes you gotta rock alone, y'know?"
"Of course I know." Tobias exclaimed, earning a chuckle from Jimmy.
"Speaking of which." Jimmy exclaimed, turning to face Ben. "Benjamin, what's up with Kendall?"
Ally perked up in that moment, wondering what Jimmy was talking about. Ben's face turned a light pink as he smiled. The guys chuckled as he laughed nervously.
"Is she coming to the game tonight?" Tobias asked.
"Yeah." Ben replied. "I'm excited for her to come."
"Are you now?" Joel teased. "Is Benny boy in love?"
Ben waved him off, chuckling nervously as he rubbed the back of his neck. He looked up just in time to lock eyes with Ally. Right when he did, she looked away, tears brimming her eyes.
She blinked to hold them back, folding the last towel and making her way out of the locker room silently. Walking down the hall, she found the employee bathroom. She locked herself in and cried in silence.
Kendall? As in Kendall Jenner? Fuck that. Hearing another female name angered her enough.
In that moment she didn't know what to do. Be angry. Sad. Humiliated. Amongst those things, she felt stuck. Lost. And exhausted.
Her and Ben had finally got back on track after that one day a couple weeks prior. Everything was back to normal, up until just now. Why would Ben do that to her? Another question she wanted to ask was if she wanted to continue going through with everything.
Who was she kidding, of course she did. That man made her feel like she was on cloud 9. He was perfect. But he also just proved that she wasn't as important to him as he'd made her feel.
Cleaning her face after 30 minutes, she was leaving the bathroom. On her way out, she ran into someone.
"I am so sorry!" The person exclaimed.
Ally looked up only to see Kendall herself. She blinked to make sure she wasn't seeing things, but this was real. Kendall Jenner was really standing right in front of her face. Ally wanted to scream.
"Are you okay?" Kendall asked, concerned about the poor woman.
Ally only nodded, not able to form words. Her voice had failed her.
"Okay good." Kendall sighed in relief. "I'm literally so sorry. I wasn't paying attention."
Say something!, Ally thought.
"It's fine." Ally exclaimed, her voice empty. "Really."
Kendall furrowed her eyebrows in confusion. Ally cleared her throat.
"Enjoy the game." She said, making her way to the tunnel the team had gone out of.
Ally made her way toward the seats that the personnel sat. She wanted nothing more than for this day to be over.
When the game ended, resulting in another Philadelphia win, Ally was on her way into the tunnel again. She was about to go past the locker room but someone stopped her.
Whipping around quickly, she forced her hands into a broad chest. Ben's chest. She pushed him away from her with all of her strength.
"Get off of me." She said.
"Ally-"
"You fucking lied to me." She cut him off, tears in her eyes.
Ben grabbed her forearms but she pushed away from him.
"I said get off of me." She sneered. "Don't touch me again."
"Ally, let me explain." He said.
"Shut up. Shut. The. Fuck. Up." Ally seethed. Ben pursed his lips. "How fucking dare you?"
Ben reached for her again. "I-"
Using all her strength, she shoved him away from her. She had actually succeeded in pushing him a good distance.
"Whatever you're about to say is straight bullshit." She fumed. She was livid. "Fuck. You."
Without another word, she turned away from him and left the arena.
Getting home in no time, she headed straight for her room. She slammed the door shut and pounced into her mattress. She wanted nothing to do with anyone right now.
Back at Wells Fargo Center, the Sixers had just finished changing out of their sweaty uniforms and getting in the showers. Ben, however, sat in his cubby. He was trying to figure out how to get back into Ally's good graces. He knew all too well that that may take a while.
Jaxon was looking for Ally to help clean up, but had remembered that he told her she could go straight home after the game, being that she had done the towel job in placement of one of her colleagues who had called out sick.
When Ben finally decided to head for the showers, it was when a few of the guys had finally come out. He tossed his sweaty clothes into the bin and slugged his way to the shower room. He was still thinking of ways to convince Ally of her importance. He hadn't planned for her to know about his 10 month on and off relationship with Kendall, but now she knows. And he now has no idea on how to fix it.
