Ally

The halftime performance wasn't all that great, but it's not like I was really watching it in the first place. I was too busy in the goddamn bathroom.

"Being pregnant sucks sometimes." I mumble.

"I told you not to drink all of that water so fast." My mom exclaimed.

"I was thirsty." I whine.

"You have to take your time with it Ally. Otherwise you're going to be doing exactly what you're doing right now; peeing every five minutes." She said.

I groan, knowing I should listen to her. She has gone through this four times. Italics and bold for emphasis.

Soon halftime ended and the game was set to resume. I interlocked my fingers together and said a silent prayer because I really did want Phoenix to win. They've been doing a damn good job this season so far and I wanted them to keep it up. Lord knows they need the wins right now. Everyone is fighting for a playoff spot.

What I wished for came true because the Suns won it 109-114. I sighed in relief as I watched both teams shake hands with each other. I wave at Devin Booker from a distance, and he waves back at me. As I was getting ready to leave, Tobias came over to the court side seats. I made my way down there so I could say hi to him.

As soon as I reach him, we embrace one another, from over a chair. We pull away and smile at one another.

"It's so good to see you Ally." He exclaimed. "We miss you so much, I don't think you understand."

I giggle. "I miss you guys too."

"Pregnancy is suiting you fairly well. I call dibs on being their Godfather." He said.

I wave him off, grinning. He will definitely make a great Godfather. We talk for a little bit more before a light skin boy walks over. He's so adorable that it's killing me inside.

"Hi, I'm Matisse Thybulle." He introduced himself, holding his hand out to me.

I shake it. "Ally James. Former Sixers Equipment Manager."

"Nice to finally meet you. Him and Joel, and a few of the other guys, can't stop talking about you. I feel like I know you already and we only just met." He said. "Congratulations on the pregnancy by the way."

"Awww, thank you." I giggle. "Aren't you cute."

He blushed and I chuckle.

"What brings you to Phoenix, Jay?" Tobias asked, waving Matisse away.

I laugh. "This is where I live now."

"Serious?" He said.

I nod.

"Wow." He exclaimed.

"Yeah. I had to leave Philly because I just wasn't happy there." I explain.

"I heard about what happened between you and Ben." He said. "I'm sorry about that."

I wave him off again.

"It wasn't entirely his fault." I say, looking away as I nibble on my lower lip.

"I know that, and ima get on your ass about it another time. I'm just trying to figure out why you bothered with that light skin motherfucka anyway." He said, making me chuckle again.

"Watch your mouth Harris." A new voice exclaims.

My whole demeanor changes at the sound of the voice. My breath hitches as I watch him appear from behind Tobias, coming to stand at his side.
