Ally

"He showed up to my place two weeks later, trying to explain himself to me. I really was in no mood to hear his bullshit of an excuse, but I was also half dead when he came over. I had woke up about ten minutes before he came." I explain, recalling what happened after I left the arena that night. "For those entire two weeks, he kept calling and texting me. I hadn't answered a single one, so I guess he figured he would come see me face to face."

"We ended up having sex, which resulted in some exchanged dialogue before I ended up forgiving him. I know it was stupid of me, but was I really going to give up sex with Ben Simmons? Hell to the no."

Molly chuckled at that last part.

"I just found it so odd that he showed up at my apartment." I ponder the thought.

"Was Jasmine home?" She asked.

"No. She had took a trip to Spain with Alex. So that left me home alone." I explain.

"How were you and Jasmine for those few weeks before she left?" She asked.

"It was quiet between us. Neither of us really said much to each other." I frown. "It was for the best that we didn't because I don't know what would've been said."

She nods.

"What about when you and Ben started hooking up again?" She asked.

"Everything was different actually." I say. "I mean, there were moments when Jasmine and I did talk and I'd mention Ben. Of course regarding Basketball because I didn't want her to know that I was still hooking up with him."

"I had to confess at some point though. And that was when I found out I was pregnant."

"Ahhh okay." She said, nodding in understanding.

I shrug. "That's also when I told her I was going to move out because I didn't want her to have to deal with my baby issues. She tried to convince me to stay, but I told her it would be best if I went back to Phoenix."

She nods again. "Are you still living with her now?"

"Yeah. But I'm already packed for the move." I reply.

Molly frowns. "You really are leaving, hmm?"

"Yes, unfortunately." I frown as well. "I miss being home in Phoenix. Life was more simple there."

"Do you think it'll be the same when you go back?" She asked.

"I really hope so." I respond.

Ally watched as her phone buzzed for the fourth time that night. Ben had started calling and texting her at about 11pm. It was going on 12:30am. She literally wanted nothing to do with him.

Each call went straight to voicemail, and Ben did not hesitate to leave one each time. So far as the texts went, she had about five of those. She just knew that over time, they would increase. Knowing Ben from the time she's been around him, she knows that he doesn't easily give up. Personally, she didn't understand why he was so keen on her. Apparently she wasn't good enough for him so he found someone else. That's the end of that story.

Ben sat on his couch, sending text after text. Receiving voicemail after voicemail. He knew all too well that she wasn't going to talk to him, but he at least had to try. Why? Even he didn't know.

As he was going to call her again, Kendall's name appeared on the screen. Ben hesitated for a minute, before deciding to answer it.

B: Hey babe.
K: Ben? Where are you?
B: I'm home.
K: What? I thought we were going to meet for dinner.

Ben cursed under his breath as he had completely forgotten about that. He'd been so caught up trying to mend things with Ally for the last few hours, he completely blew off his girlfriend.

B: I'm so sorry baby. It completely slipped my mind.
K: You know I'm only going to be here for 2 more days.
B: I know, I know. How about we do lunch tomorrow? Just me and you. Tell me what your schedule is looking like and we can work from there.
K: Okay.

The two talked for a couple more minutes before hanging up. Ben groaned and tossed his phone on the couch cushion beside him. Laying his head against the back of the couch, he ran his hands down his face, scratching his beard along the way.

If he played his cards right, he could have Ally back in his grasp and also balance his relationship with Kendall. It was a win-win in his mind.

His thoughts were cut off when his phone dinged. He looked down at the screen to see a text message from Kendall, probably her schedule for the next day. Ben made a mental note to look over it before he got up and made his way to the kitchen. A drink would definitely suffice to clear his mind.

After Ben's most recent message, Ally had put her phone on DND. When she did that, she meant business. Nothing or no one was going to disturb her when she didn't want to be bothered. She had a lot of thinking to do, but knowing it would all go to shit in due time. She'd do all this thinking just for everything to go to waste. But that was just the way her life worked. All of her hard work would usually mean nothing in the end.

"Back home has always been a peaceful place for me. Not having to deal with anything that may or may not disrupt my mental health." I say. "But I also have to remember that I bought myself into this mess."

"So you're not entirely blaming everything on Ben?" She asked.

"No I'm not. I am 40% responsible for how things went." I reply.

"That's a big responsibility you're taking on there." She said.

"Well he's taking most of it, so I'm fine." I say.

She chuckled at that.

"But I'm finally getting to the climax of this story. Where shit starts to hit the fan." I exclaim, smiling broadly.

Molly chuckles again because she knows I'm being sarcastic. Nobody would talk about things going to shit with such enthusiasm. No one.

"You might wanna buckle up because it's about to get hella bumpy." I say.

Molly pretends to buckle her seatbelt, giving me a thumbs up.

Won't this be fun?
