"I swear to G- Madison!"

Zoe gasped as white powder flew at her face, lightening her skin by a considerable amount. Madison was a cheerful redhead she met in acting class and became quick friends with. She was the complete opposite of her in every single way that mattered. Madison had pale skin, bright green eyes, and colorful clothing. Zoe was Latina, spoke rapid Spanish that she was teaching to Madison, and dressed in mostly black or red. Somehow, they got along like long-lost siblings. But, speaking of siblings.

Zabdiel had a reciprocated crush on Zoe's new friend.

"Oh, you're so dead!" Madison sprinted from the kitchen but more specifically, from an egg-wielding Zoe. "Madison Elaine Packington, get back here!" The redhead screamed in terror, trailing through the living room. Zoe lost her footing around one corner, the egg in her hand flying through the air. A gasp echoed through the room when it landed, Zoe dragging her eyes up. "Shit,"

"Zobeida Mariana De Jesus, you're dead."

Christopher glared down at Zoe, yolk matting down his gorgeous hair. She started to regret the day she was born, her limbs struggling to get off the ground. Madison had disappeared with a grin on her face, going off to find Zabdiel. Zoe took off with Christopher right on her tail, knowing there was probably no way she could outrun him. Her suspicions were confirmed when two arms wrapped around her torso, lifting her into the air.

"Got you," Shivers worked their way down her spine, his lips pressed against her ear. "Now, Princesa. I believe you and I have something to finish," Christopher carried her all the way into the kitchen, his muscles flexing around her. Zoe knew better than to struggle since there was no way she could get out of his grip, not that she really wanted to. Dropping her on the counter so she was facing him, he stood in between her legs. "Oh, Zobeida. You seem to get yourself into all kinds of trouble,"

Warm breath fanning her face, she momentarily allowed herself to become intoxicated by his scent. So, she didn't notice his hand slowly inching toward the egg carton beside them until it was too late. Gently but firmly, Christopher smashed the item atop of her black strands until yolk was dripping from the ends of her hair. He pulled away with a grin, not expecting any retaliation.
"There, now we're even."

It took a few moments for the shock to wear off and her brain to kick in again. By that time, Christopher knew he'd started a war.  "It's on," Zoe launched a handful of flour at him, jumping down from her spot on the counter to hide behind the island. He cried out, searching for anything to retaliate. "Give me your worst, bebé niño." She called out with a small giggle, jumping up with an egg in her hand.

"Drop it, Princesa." Christopher pointed, an egg in his hand as well. Zoe grinned cunningly, tossing it up and down in her palm. "I'll stop now if you do," She cocked her head in disbelief, his shoulders slumping. "Yeah, I didn't think that'd work. Well then, let's do this." In thirty seconds flat, a dozen eggs coated not only their bodies but the kitchen as well. Christopher was chasing her with the last remaining egg, grabbing her by the waist.

"No!" Zoe laughed, knocking the poultry item from his grip. She slapped at his tattooed arms as he rubbed his hands on her shirt, making more of a mess. "Put me down!" Christopher laughed loudly, guiding her over to the flour. "Christopher, I swear..." Zoe struggled, somehow managing to turn around in his grip. Their laughter came to a halt when they realized how close their faces were to another. Flickering their gaze downward, Christopher and Zoe struggled to not close the small amount of distance between them.

Luckily, Madison's insanely loud voice stopped them.

"I don't know, Zabdiel. Last time I saw them, Christopher was going to break her." Just not in the way Zoe wanted. They separated from one another seconds before Madison and Zabdiel entered, enough time to get a safe distance away. "Oh my- look at you two!" Madison scolded, Zabdiel looking at the girl with a cheesy smile. Zoe and Christopher stared at the floor like bad kids, the former mentioning that Madison started it. "Yes, I did. So that means that Zabdiel and I will clean up while you two shower. Right?" Zabdiel nodded rapidly, his little sister smiling in amusement.

Zoe and Christopher took off upstairs, giggling the whole way. "Ugh, it's gonna take me forever to get this out of my hair." She removed a hand from the back of her head, egg whites clinging to her fingers. He chuckled, stepping forward to remove an eggshell from her bangs. "Oh, thanks." Zoe giggled, brushing flour off his cheek. "I, uh, should probably go shower." She stepped back, hand falling to her side.

Christopher nodded, slipping into the room behind him. Zoe padded into her bathroom, dropping her clothing into the hamper. With her playlist echoing off the walls, Zoe stepped under the steaming hot water. A knot rested in the center of her stomach, one that had momentarily released when she was with Christopher. The more she thought about it, that not only eased when he was near. Or in conversation, even when looking at a photo. She soon realized that Christopher had become her everything in such a short six months.

Zoe just didn't realize she was his everything, too.

It took two hours and half a bottle of shampoo but all traces of baking ingredients are officially gone from my body.

But now that I think about it, I still don't have my cookies
