Zobeida De Jesus was the 20-year-old sister of Zabdiel, a member of CNCO. She was by no means riding her brother's coattails, already a successful actress in a tv show called 'Shadowhunters'. This firey, headstrong, Latina moves to Ecuador with the...
Zabdiel and Madison had spontaneously announced that they were going away next week for a month to celebrate the holidays. The other couples were all taking turns with each set of families. It wouldn't have bothered her so much if the rest of her family wasn't so far away and already had plans. So, here she was with nobody to spend a late Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years with. She knew Christopher would be going home to his family and didn't want to intrude on him.
Well, that was a one-way street.
"Come to Loja with me," Christopher proposed at one afternoon in Zoe's room. He didn't want to spend this time without her at all but he hadn't asked her originally because he thought she would be with her family. "I know that's a lot to ask, but I want you with me." She was stunned. to say the least, staring up at him with a dropped jaw. "My family would love to meet you," They were already supposed to be filming a music video around that area the day before everyone would leave for their holiday. "You don't have to if you don't want-"
"I would love to meet your family," She cut him off with her blurt, not really thinking before she responded. "We can just tell Zabdiel that I wanted to be around someone I trust. Not that he gets an opinion," Zoe laughed, searching for any sign of regret on his face. Instead, a cheesy grin stretched across his lips. Christopher lunged forward and picked her off of the bed, hoisting Zoe over his shoulder. She'd been expecting his hand to come down on her ass but it still made her jump. "Christopher!"
His giggled echoed through the room, as infectious as ever. It was one of the things she liked most about him, his humor and ability to always make her laugh no matter how bad things were at that moment. Christopher did everything in his power to hear Zoe's laugh, to see her smile. Because if he had a say in her future, then he wanted her to always be happy. Hell, even if he wasn't around he still wanted it.
"But," Christopher tossed her on the bed in a gentle manner, a little scared to hear Zoe finish her sentence. "You have to help me tell Zab," Zoe smirked at the twinge of terror on her boyfriend's face, pushing herself up so that they were chest to chest. Well, more like a shoulder to stomach considering the height difference was even worse when she was sitting. "Partially because I might kill him before the day's over,"
Zoe reached up and pushed his bangs from his eyes, cupping his cheek in her palm. "Fine, Princesa." He agreed unwillingly, leaning into her persuasive touch. "Only because you're agreeing to meet my family," Christopher saw the quick flash of anxiety in her eyes, not realizing quite just how nervous she would be by the time they arrived in Loja. In all honesty, he would be nervous too. But just that she wouldn't like his hometown and family.
"Should we tell him now since everyone else is here?" She wondered, knowing his reaction was likely to be much better when there were other people present. Christopher nodded once, pulling out of her reach. "Joy," Zoe pushed off her bed and grabbed a sweater to slid on over her thin white tank top. "Oh, and Christopher?" He flicked his eyebrows up, tilting his head to the side. "I hope you know that I'm still coming even if he doesn't like it,"
With that, she walked past him and out of her room. Christopher stared after her for a few seconds, shocked by her sudden confidence. "This should be exciting," He mumbled under his breath before they descended the staircase. Zoe snorted while following him to the living area, sitting down in two opposite sides of the room. "So, we all know I'm going to Loja for the holidays." He started in, drawing the attention of everyone else. "And that Zoe doesn't have any plans, so-"
"I'm going with Christopher for the month," Zoe blurted, her brother turning his head to look at her. "No, I didn't ask to go. Yes, he offered." She started answering any and all questions before Zabdiel even had a chance to ask them. His first thought would be that she was being childish and forcing herself into someone else's plans. "Yes, I'm going. And no, you don't get a say in it." Crossing her arms across her chest, Zoe quirked an eyebrow at Zabdiel.
Everyone else in the room had gone deadly silent, watching the interaction as if it were a tennis match. "Zobeida, kitchen, now," Zabdiel growled as he stood up from his spot and walked into the said room. Zoe got up to follow him, Christopher debating on whether or not to tag along. She shook her head once, disappearing into the kitchen. "Seriously? Are you really that desperate?" He was unusually harsh with every continuing word, Christopher knowing he would only listen to so much before getting up to defend Zoe.
Almost everyone else was also on Zoe's side. Erick and Edith both glanced at Madison, who would most definitely jump to Zabdiel's defense. The redhead had changed a lot since becoming his girlfriend and getting another acting job. Not necessarily for the better.
"That's enough, Zabdiel." Zoe finally snapped, her voice echoing throughout the house. "I'm not going to apologize for spending the holidays with someone that cares about me." She pushed away from the counter she'd been leaning on, walking straight past her brother. Zabdiel was too far in shock to come up with a retort. He'd never really had her stand up to him much in her life, so it took him by surprise. Zoe stayed silent on her way through the living room and upstairs, not looking at anyone.
Once the door to her room was closed, she belly-flopped onto her bed. She heard the door open and close a few minutes later, someone turning the lock. Zoe knew exactly who it was when she felt their weight dip into the spot beside her. Christopher waited patiently for her to roll over, smiling sadly at her when she finally did. He was surprised to see the hint of a smile playing on her lips.
"What are you smiling about?"
"Oh nothing, just now you're stuck with me."
"I wouldn't have it any other way,"
