"Wow, you look gorgeous."
Zoe smiled at Christopher, smoothing down her bridesmaid dress. It hugged her body and arms, ending just below her knees. A pale shade of pink with green and pink flowers covering the sheer fabric. Gold pointed toe heels clung to her slightly swollen feet, hair curled in waves down her shoulders. She had on as little makeup as possible and a pair of jade green earrings, a gift from Jade herself. A single pink rose rest between her hands, which were positioned over her growing stomach.
"You don't look so bad yourself, mi Vida." Christopher had on an all-black suit with a box tie on his collar, a pair of glasses hanging on his nose. Zoe straightened his tie, Christopher sneaking a peck on her forehead. "I have to go, it's almost my turn," She whispered, trying not to disturb the small crowd of people inside of the church. Joel and Jade wanted a small intimate ceremony, which is exactly what they were going to get. "I'll see you after," Zoe squeezed his hand, going to pull away.
His grip tightened before she could get away, tugging her back in his direction. "Ay, Papa, aren't you forgetting something?" Christopher smirked when she rolled her eyes, pulling her flush against his chest. Zoe giggled quietly, pulling him down to her by the back of his neck. He chuckled into the kiss for a quick second before settling in, moving them in perfect harmony. "Okay, you can go now," She released him, walking over to where Gabriel, Joel's brother, stood in the doorway.
"Ready, munchkin?"
"Hey, I'm taller than you are!"
"Would you two zip it and walk?"
Zoe and Gabriel mocked Christopher, walking down the aisle arm in arm. She stood beside the altar, Perrie, Jesy, Leigh-Anne, Edith, and Alyson joining on her right side. Christopher had walked Leigh-Anne down, winking at Zoe when he was close enough. Joel fidgeted nervously as the music changed, his eyes bugging out of his head when Jade made her appearance. Her white gown flowed behind her, Aaliyah holding the hem of it.
"Hi," Joel whispered breathlessly, taking Jade's hands in his. Everyone laughed quietly at their shy demeanor, Zoe holding onto Jade's bouquet in exchange for the rings. "I, Joel Pimentel, take you, Jade Thirlwall, to be my wife." He repeated after the priest standing between them, tears of joy prickling his eyes. "I promise to be true to you in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health." Zoe couldn't help it with her pregnancy hormones, she started to tear up. "I will love you, and honor you all the days of my life."
Christopher stared at Zoe through the entire ceremony, analyzing every inch of her. He couldn't help but picture her in a white dress, a veil hanging off the back of her head. The glow she had started way before she was pregnant, her eyes sparkling with happiness. Christopher knew he wanted Zoe forever, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health. They could make a life together, have more kids, buy a house, and grow old together. He never wanted to know what life would be like without her.
"I, Jade Thirlwall, take you, Joel Pimentel, to be my husband." Jade started, her voice quivering with emotion. She cleared her throat, trying to make it through her vows. "I promise to be true to you in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health." Christopher tore his gaze away from his girlfriend, trying to actually pay attention to something else for once. "I will love you, and honor you all the days of my life."
Zoe's gaze wandered across the aisle, raking over Christopher's frame. She imagined the two of them standing up at an altar, reading their own vows. Their daughter would definitely be incorporated somehow, perhaps pulled in a wagon by Aaliyah as flower girls. Zabdiel would get to babysit her for their honeymoon, somewhere warm. Maybe she'd take him to Puerto Rico, or Paris, somewhere she'd always wanted to go. No matter where they'd be happy together. A few kids, a house they designed, maybe even a dog.
