Zobeida De Jesus was the 20-year-old sister of Zabdiel, a member of CNCO. She was by no means riding her brother's coattails, already a successful actress in a tv show called 'Shadowhunters'. This firey, headstrong, Latina moves to Ecuador with the...
Christopher apologized for the twelfth time in twenty minutes, having just poked her a little too hard with an eyeshadow brush. Somehow, he'd managed to persuade Zoe into letting him do her makeup. She had yet to see how he was doing since he'd stolen all the mirrors from her. But, she had faith in him seeing as he watched her do her makeup almost every morning. He was more than capable of doing her hair, as he'd done on more than one occasion.
"You're so pretty," He mused, moving to her contour. She opened her eyes, staring at his intense facial expression. Christopher adorably poked the inside of his cheek with his tongue, trying his best to concentrate. "You don't need any of this, but I understand that you like it." Zoe fought off a smile so that he wouldn't mess up on her makeup, appreciating the fact he got why she did it. It wasn't because society told her she needed it, it was because she liked the way it made her feel. "And... I'm done!"
"Can you hand me the mirror?" Zoe pointed at the object behind him, to which she was eagerly handed. Holding it up in front of her face, she let out an audible gasp. Christopher, however, took that to mean he did a terrible job and started to panic. "Christopher, you did so well!" She grinned proudly, cupping his face in between her hands. He kissed her gently on the lips, trying not to smudge her lipstick. "Can I hire you to do this every day?"
"Only if you pay me in kisses,"
"That can be arranged,"

"Amor,"
Christopher whined when Zoe removed her hand from his hair to check her phone. He reached up blindly, gripping her wrist and guiding her back to her original spot. She giggled at his childish manner, continuing to run her fingers through his locks. It was a lazy day in the De Jesus-Velez household, where he was sprawled out on the living room couch with his head in her lap. She was reclined with a pillow on her right side, trying to make her position more comfortable.
"You're so needy," Zoe teased, reaching for her strawberry lemonade from the table beside her. She almost spat out her drink when her unborn child kicked Christopher, directly in the head. "Ay, Papa!" He shouted, turning around to give her stomach a stern look as if the action actually hurt him. "She's got your attitude, that's for sure," Christopher grumbled, lying back down so she could continue to play with his hair. Laughing quietly, she dragged her gaze along his side profile with a smile.
Everything about him enchanted her. He looked absolutely perfect in a black tank top and grey sweatpants, a heavenly combination in her eyes. Long, thick eyelashes brushed against the tops of his cheekbones whenever his eyes grew heavy enough to close. The way he watched Grey's Anatomy, something he pretended not to like but not so secretly did, with childlike awe. His plump lips parted, following every action with fascination.
"You're so perfect," She blurted, Christopher snapping his head back to look at her. Zoe smiled sweetly, not at all embarrassed. "I love everything about you, even the things that annoy me." Christopher blinked in surprise, scooting up into a sitting position. "I adore your laugh, the way it makes everyone else laugh even on bad days." He pulled her legs across his lap so that she was sitting at an angle, her fingers running up and down his arms. An uncontrollable smile stretched out across his lips, capturing her hand in his.
"I love the way you talk to our daughter already," His gaze flickered down to her bump, his smile somehow growing even more. "I love the way you watch me when you think I'm not paying attention," Zoe grinned, his face flushing red at the fact she'd caught him. "How you get up with me in the middle of the night and try whatever weird craving I have at that time," Christopher chuckled, his heart pounding out of his chest. She enjoyed watching him get all flustered, it reminded her that she had an effect on him too.
"I just love you, so fucking much," Christopher broke out into a goofy smile that seemed almost too big for his face. Zoe giggled, now blushing herself while he stared at her. "Carajo, I love you so much, Zobeida," He shook his head in awe, staring at her with complete vulnerability. She leaned into his hand, eyes flitting over his face. Zoe opened her mouth, adding something as an afterthought. "And as for our little girl, we still need to pick out a name."
He nibbled his bottom lip nervously, Zoe catching her change in attitude. She raised an eyebrow, waiting for him to explain. "I, uh, might've thought of one. But, if you don't like it we'll find something else." Zoe lit up, eagerly moving her hands in a circle in a gesture for him to continue. "Uh, Veronica." He scratched his neck, looking down at his lap. "I was looking at Ecuadorian names and I thought it was pretty."
"I love it," Zoe captured his attention, watching his face light up. "We could call her Ronnie for short," He nodded, indicating that was exactly what he was thinking. "It's beautiful, mi Vida. It's perfect," Christopher pulled her to his lips by the back of her head, kissing her passionately. "Did we just name our baby?" Zoe asked, wanting to make sure. He leaned down so he was an inch away from her baby bump, speaking in a clear tone of voice.
"Veronica Mariana Velez, we can't wait to meet you."
