"Oh god, what if it sucks?"

Zoe paced back and forth behind the curtain, running a hand through her curls. Everyone was waiting in the crowd, including the boys and even Jade had flown in. She was the final performer of the night to be singing their original song. It was the last requirement in order for her to graduate college early. Her nerves were off the charts, feeling even worse than when she performed on the X-Factor. Unbeknownst to anyone else, she'd changed songs from the one she'd originally sung for Christopher.

The old song was written about David, but this one was for Christopher.

She'd been too busy panicking to notice when Edith slipped away, the only person who'd been back there with her. Until, of course, she returned a minute later with two boys right behind her. Edith would've just brought Christopher if Zabdiel hadn't have been sitting right beside him. So, she brought Erick too with a lie about wanting Zabdiel to be surprised so he couldn't come back. The second Edith had appeared Christopher was out of his seat, somehow not setting off an alarm in Zabdiel's head.

"Princesa?" Christopher snapped Zoe from her daze, the boy pulling her off to the side so that they were alone. "You're going to be amazing, you always are." He cupped her face in his hands, taken aback by her beauty. Zoe blinked, trying to calm her nerves. "Besides, I have a surprise for you after." She gave him a small smile, delighted when he leaned down for a quick kiss. Christopher pulled away before he could lose his control that seemed to be almost nonexistent when it came to her. "Now, go kick some ass."

And just like that, Zoe knew she would be just fine. Christopher had given her the burst of confidence she needed with his simple presence. Walking over to stand right in the center of where the curtain would open, Zoe took a deep breath when the lights dimmed. The red velvet slowly parted enough for her to pass through, shuffling straight over to the stool before a microphone.

It took around fifteen seconds before the lights gingerly came back on. Zoe inhaled quietly, signaling for the people to start playing. Christopher was a little confused when the instrumental started in, not recognizing the sound. But, he was quickly consumed by her beauty when a stage light hit her.

"Something must've gone wrong in my brain," Zoe gripped the microphone, her eyes screwed shut. "Got your chemicals all in my veins. Feeling all the highs, feel all the pain." She'd poured even more emotion into this song, it was obvious by the way her voice showcased the lyrics. "Let go of the wheel, that's the bullet lane. Now I'm seeing red, not thinking straight. Blurring all the lines, you intoxicate me."

Eyes flying open with determination, she stood from her seat. "Just like nicotine, heroin, morphine." Zoe made eye contact with a stunned Christopher, the boy hanging off of every word she sang. Erick and Edith shared a quick look at Christopher, all of them sharing the thought that this song was about him. "Suddenly, I'm a fiend and you're all I need. All I need, yeah, you're all I need." She moved across the stage, enjoying the crowds' attention once more.

"It's you, babe."

Christopher could've melted into a puddle right then and there. It seemed as though the final chorus approached all too quickly for his liking. "I'm sayin' it's you, babe. And I'm a sucker for the way that you move, babe." Zoe belted into the microphone, one hand pressed against her heart. "You're to blame. Just one hit of you, I know I'll never ever, ever be the same." She finished her last note, eyes never leaving Christopher.

Speaking of, he was the first one to leap from his seat with loud cheering.

I think Chris took 'Go big or go home' a little too seriously

"Oh my God," Zoe broke into a grin the moment she got off stage to see Christopher holding what seemed to be a hundred red roses. He was smiling from ear to ear, radiating with pride. Zabdiel reached her first, joyfully lifting Zoe into the air and spinning them in a circle. "You were amazing, pequeña." He gushed for a few seconds before returning to Madison's side, as usual. Sometimes it hurt her feelings, but right now she was on cloud nine.

Everyone took turns congratulating Zoe, Christopher going last. "I'm so proud of you, Princesa." He tugged her into his arms, hiding a risky peck behind the big-ass bouquet. One might say it was dual-purpose. "That song was... wow," Christopher smirked, Zoe sending one right back. "He sounds like a lucky guy," He teased, handing her the flowers. Zoe inhaled the roses instantly, her favorite scent.

"I like to think I'm the lucky one," She smiled, begrudgingly walking the two of them back over to the group. He followed behind her, just like he always did. They'd follow each other to the ends of the earth, over a cliff. "So, what's next?" Zoe soon realized that Zabdiel and Madison had a date planned. Christopher watched her facial expression fall, replaced with a fake smile and knew how much it hurt her. So, he placed his hand on the small of her back and nodded to the other couples.

"We're taking you out for dinner, that's what we're doing next."
