"I can't believe it's been a year already,"

Zoe adjusted her white floral top tucked into a pair of jeans, purple chunky heels on her feet. They matched some of the flowers on her shirt, hair falling around her shoulders in waves. She wanted her outfit to be somewhat casual since she had no idea where they would be going. Today was Christopher and Zoe's one year anniversary, something nobody could bring themselves to believe. He'd planned an entire night for them that she had no idea what was included.

"It feels like our first kiss was just yesterday," She smiled into the mirror, giving her hair one last fluff. Edith grinned back at her, standing up from the edge of the bed she'd been perched on. Zoe was getting ready in Edith and Erick's room since Christopher was occupying theirs. "God, I hope my stomach stops being annoying for the night." For the past week, Zoe'd been throwing up at random times of the day and couldn't eat certain foods. She brushed it off as a stomach bug since a few other people had gotten sick as well. "Okay, I'm ready."

Edith pulled open the bedroom door, stepping out into the hallway and leading them to the living room. Christopher sat across from Erick, nervously bouncing his knee up and down at a rapid pace. He had on a tight-fitting black shirt, Zoe's favorite snapback, and a pair of olive green pants. His current favorite black boots clung to his feet, a few chains dangling around his neck. And as always, the watch Zoe had gifted him was on his left wrist. Just like the necklace and earrings he gave her adorned her body.

"Wow," Christopher exhaled, standing up as soon as Zoe showed herself. "You look beautiful, mi amor." He smiled goofily, almost knocking Edith out of the way to get to his girlfriend. Edith didn't take it personally, plopping down on Erick's lap with a chuckle. Zoe leaned up on her toes to kiss him on the cheek, pulling him out the trailer door by his hand. "Don't wait up," Christopher calls over his shoulder, guiding Zoe to the rental car. "Oh, and Feliz Aniversario, Princesa." He turned to her from the driver's seat, leaning down to kiss her on the lips. She smiled into the kiss, resting her head against his.

"Happy Anniversary, mi Vida."

"I wrote you something,"

Zoe laid beside Christopher in a hotel bed, a sheet loosely encasing their bodies. He cocked his eyebrow up, tilting his head to the side. "Where's my phone?" She glanced around the room, searching for the small device she'd recorded herself on. Christopher reached beside them on the nightstand, picking up the object in question. "Gracias," Zoe sat up on the mattress, the fabric falling to expose her body. Yet, Christopher never looked anywhere but Zoe's face as he pushed himself up on his arms. "Found it,"

The pad of her thumb pressed on the triangle, a soft melody playing through the room followed by her own voice. "You tell me that I'm complicated, and that might be an understatement, anything else?" Zoe's eyes found Christopher's, maintaining contact in a way that connected their very souls. She'd written the song Easy a few days after Christmas at three in the morning, overcome by a fit of emotions for the boy lying in bed beside her. "The stretch marks all around my thighs, you kiss them till I change my mind."

A soft smile graced Christopher's lips, his hands smoothing up and down the body parts that she'd just mentioned. As the last verse of her song played out, she opened her mouth to vocalize them herself. "Always thought I was hard to love until you made seem so easy, seem so easy." Salty tears welled up just enough in Christopher's eyes to be noticeable, Zoe reaching forward to gently brush them away. "Thank you for loving me," She whispered needlessly, crawling into his lap. His hand slid up to the back of her neck, feverishly connecting their lips in a passionate kiss that would lead to nothing more.

"It's my pleasure, Zobeida," Christopher spoke against her skin, absentmindedly brushing back her hair. "And I plan to do it forever," Zoe sighed in content, tracing the tattoos on his arms. "I have something for you too, but it has to wait until the end of the tour because it's currently in Miami." He chuckled softly, her melodic giggle joining the musical sound. She shrugged lightly, not wanting anything more than him for their one year anniversary. "Just a few more weeks," They counted the day she called him her boyfriend as their first official day in a relationship together.

Zoe felt a small knot form in the center of her stomach at how close they were to the end of the tour. Once they told Zabdiel, everything would change. They hadn't really discussed going public with their relationship to their fans yet. Not at all, actually, apart from occasionally mentioning that they couldn't wait to post a certain photo on Instagram.

"Are you nervous?" He questioned, fiddling with her hair. Zoe stayed silent for several moments, Christopher shifting their bodies so he had her pinned underneath him. "Si, I am. But, it's the right thing to do, right?" She responded with a question of her own, watching his body language. Christopher's smile faltered just quick enough for Zoe to question whether or not she'd imagined it, but the shaky tone he used to respond let her know that she wasn't hallucinating anything of the sort.

"Yeah, right."
